### ALLIANCE ### PRONOE is humbled to have been selected as a #FeaturedSolution by the Solar Impulse Foundation. Founded by Bertrand Piccard with the goal of identifying solutions to fight climate change and address environmental challenges, the Foundation has shed light on over 1,000 solutions globally since 2016. As a #WorldAllianceMember, PRONOE will thus be part of over 1,800 solutions searchable on the Solution Explorer platform (https://lnkd.in/ezZUvJX9). This selection comes as an expert recognition that #CDR solutions can be both environmentally sustainable and economically profitable. ### MEASURABLE IMPACT ### 📜 Proud to share our Impact Measurement Certificate. A couple of months ago, PRONOE was selected as part of the Google Startups for Sustainable Development. It is a mentoring program designed to engage and empower impact startups at scale, all around the world. More than a networking opportunity with sustainability and business leaders within Google, it is a cross-sector collaboration between Google, startups, and partners focused on achieving the #SDGs. One of the features of the program is the Impact Academy: Over the course of 8 weeks, past, present, and projected impact of the outputs and #outcomes of our activity was assessed against #standardized SDG metrics. For PRONOE, this process led to impact measurement certification across 3 SDGs and 5 metrics: ♻️ [12] Responsible consumption and production, 🌐 [13] Climate Action, 🌊 [14] Life Below Water. Why does this matter? > Third-party, Expert Impact Measurement is key to channeling funding to initiatives, and SDG 14 is the least funded of all SDGs. > We can improve only what we measure (rigorously). Sadly, yet unsurprisingly, PRONOE is the first startup to plan on contributing via positive, measurable impact on SDG 14.3: Minimize and address the impacts of ocean acidification #OA.

### (DOUBLE) EVENT ### PRONOE will be in San Francisco 🌉 next week, September, 09th-13th. Beyond our nomination in the XPRIZE #Top100 in May, as one of the 24 European CDR startups (4 in OceanCDR), and related publicity, the highly competitive prize has built partnerships fostering the development of its alumni. As such, 1. we will attend the 1st session of the new XPrize CDR Top100-exclusive program of Creative Destruction Lab. The program aims to accelerate the commercial adoption of carbon removal technologies and equip teams with strategies needed to scale their impact to gigaton-scale removals annually in the future. 2. we will attend the exclusive 2024 Carbon Removal Capital Summit organized by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking. This initiative reflects the fast-growing interest and appetite of institutional investors for green project financing.  ### EVENT ### PRONOE will present during the Advancing OceanCDR Conference in #Boston Tuesday-Thursday this week. Our CEO, Nicolas Sdez will have the honor and privilege to be the first speaker and open this industry conference with a presentation on a topic close to our hearts and one that doesn’t get talked about enough: Environment Impacts in the context of Ocean CDR. >> Monitoring, Modeling, and Measurements need to be broadened beyond ‘carbon accounting’ and encompass environmental impacts. << More specifically, we will discuss: •            Considerations for Ecotoxicity Assessment for Local Environmental Impacts in the context of Integration of OAE Processes with Coastal Industries, •            Usual and state-of-the-art techniques for testing, monitoring and modeling spatially and temporally distributed potential impacts, •            Dialogue on environmental control and protection between OAE companies, industry experts, policymakers, and institutions. Finally, we will discuss our differentiated solution for Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement from Coastal Outfalls. Following presentations carried out at the 2024 #EGU Conference and 2023 #IDA Conference, we will present the practical steps taken at PRONOE since inception to prevent and mitigate adverse environmental impacts, explore positive impacts, deploy best-in-class environmental monitoring, and proactively contribute to closing knowledge gaps.  We are excited by the quality of the speakers attending and look forward to connecting or reconnecting with peers, OceanCDR representatives and enthusiasts, scientists, investors, policymakers, and C-levels. ### JUNE 2024 - PRONOE & INDUSTRY HIGHLIGHTS ### 📅 June 8th was the International Day of Oceans. Just 1 day every year. If we were to truly celebrate the Oceans for what they are and what they provide, we would celebrate: - From September 23rd, onwards for 27% of anthropic CO2 is permanently sequestered every year: . - From April 7th, onwards for 71% of Earth's surface is covered by Oceans. - From March 20th, onwards for 78% of Earth's animals call the Oceans home. - From January 26th, onwards for Oceans absorbed 93% of excess heat since the onset of the Industrial Revolution. 🔦 PRONOE won the Waves of Change Coalition's Tideline on #Biodiversity. Aimed at facilitating PoCs between coastal cities, ports, and utilities on our way towards #UNOC2025, the Tideline Startup Challenge generated opportunities in France and abroad across industries and utilities. e.g. Behind the friendly seagull, you can see #Biarritz 's beach being prepared to install the outfall of the city's marine heat pumps for district cooling. 🏛 After being laureate in 2023, PRONOE was also invited to assist to the final of the Monaco Ocean Protection Challenge. Congratulations on INNOV&SEA which won the prize this year! We are thrilled to introduce the seven startups joining our second CEEZER Carbon Coalition cohort! The following seven innovators are driving change in the voluntary carbon market and have been selected for 2024 Carbon Coalition program: – AirSmat Inc is an AI-driven Agtech democratizing the production of high-quality biochar to sequester carbon and improve the farmers' livelihood across Africa. – Heimdal is building novel limestone-based direct air capture units aiming to scale operations to 1,000,000 metric tons by 2027-2029. – PRONOE develops water treatment systems that integrate downstream of coastal industry, using the ocean's natural ability to capture and remove CO2. – RECOAL AG converts waste biomass into hydrochar, also known as Negative Emission Coal (NEC). A patented process ensures that the NEC permanently remains in underground vaults. – SeaO2 deploys direct ocean capture technology to sequester CO2 through a scalable and cost-effective electrochemical reaction. – Silica permanently sequesters CO2 and improves crop yields for smallholder farmers through enhanced rock weathering. – ZeroEx develops high-quality, regionally focused enhanced rock weathering projects to sequester CO2 and improve smallholder farmer livelihood. Through the Carbon Coalition, CEEZER provides early-stage project developers the resources and guidance needed to commercialize and create widespread impact. This de-risks early removal offtake, helping promising startups gain tangible commercial traction from large international buyers.

### ACHIEVEMENT ### We are humbled to announce that PRONOE was shortlisted as a Top 100 CDR project globally in the Finalist Round of the #XPRIZECarbonRemoval competition, a competition aimed at tackling the biggest threat facing humanity - fighting climate change and rebalancing Earth's carbon cycle. This announcement comes as a recognition of our differentiated, holistic approach to CO2 removal. The selection was made by top-tier international experts in carbon removal, after assessing 1300+ competing teams in a multi-year competition. PRONOE has been selected with 99 other projects from 25 countries, amongst 21 other ocean-based projects. We're delighted to join NetZero as the two sole #France -headquartered projects listed.
