Steve Bell thanks for your thought-provoking and insightful analysis of the future of stapling platforms and enabling technologies in your recent blog post. https://lnkd.in/gTjyNK3r We're grateful for your recognition of Qaelon Medical's new leak detection and constant flow insufflation platform and how we could play a role in the 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮-𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗶𝘁, leading to improved stapling and ultimately patient outcomes. Qaelon Medical is dedicated to providing reliable, real-time information surgeons can use to achieve better anastomosis outcomes. In addition, we are excited to provide a 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀, especially as we integrate our real-time leak detection technology with other imaging and diagnostic modalities. As you said, “staple line leaks are often deadly.” This fact drives Qaelon Medical’s mission to equip surgeons with innovative tools and data to identify anastomotic leaks as they occur and take corrective action before the patient leaves the operating room. #surgicalleakdetection The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons American Society For Metabolic And Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) EAES - European Association for Endoscopic Surgery American College of Surgeons

I've been thinking about this for a very long time 🤔 The semi commoditisation of the stapling market is not good for anyone. To that end I think that a convergence of new technologies - especially aligned with #surgicalrobotics - is about to bring a new era of stapling. It's going to be a blend of technologies and smarts that will hopefully raise the standards in outcomes and reduce complications. Who owns the best outcomes by applying these technologies will win the stapling arms race. I think the time is NOW for this to happen, as several technologies are becoming mainstream that make this a reality. (Before you hit the link please do give a thumbs up on this post it helps a lot) Check out the blog right here: https://lnkd.in/dbJNbAB4 And please then come back to this post as a I really want to hear your comments - thoughts - suggestions - technology I've missed (hey I'm only human). And if any of this changes what you were thinking about market shares of the future in my last posts. #surgicalstapling #roboticsurgery #surgery #outcomes #newtechnology #advanced imaging #hyperspectral #ICG #AI #stapling Intuitive #intuitive Johnson & Johnson MedTech #JNJ Medtronic #MDT RevMedica, Inc. #revmedica Qaelon Medical #qaelon Activ Surgical #activesite Hypervision Surgical #hyperspectralimaging

Qaelon Medical is excited to announce the completion of prototype development for the world’s first and only surgical leak detection platform. Our latest-generation prototype detects leaks as small as 1 mm in diameter, smaller than a single surgical staple, in just 30 seconds, setting a new standard for surgical safety. The next step in our mission to make surgery safer is to complete the on-going seed fundraising round. This will enable Qaelon Medical to take our leak detection and constant flow insufflator to design freeze, through first regulatory clearances, and first in human use. To learn more about how we're empowering surgeons and endoscopists with real-time leak, watch the interview with our CEO Liam J. Burns at LSI Europe. Q also stands for Quality - Our patented leak detection platform provides standardized leak testing in 30 seconds, replacing the century-old, unreliable air bubble test that has too long been the surgical standard. By offering precise, quantifiable, and reliable results, our technology enables surgeons to achieve better patient outcomes. Our platform was born in the operating room based on a state-of-the-art constant flow insufflator, nurtured by Institute of Image-Guided Surgery (IHU Strasbourg) innovation, and provides much needed innovation in laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic surgery. Thanks LSI for featuring us. #LSIEUROPE24 #LSI #leakdetection #roboticsurgery #laparoscopy #endoscopicsurgery #insufflation Liam J. Burns Lee Swanstrom

We had an incredible time at #LSIEurope24 last week and are proud to be part of such a dynamic and supportive community, as we continue our mission to solve the most dreaded surgical complication: anastomotic leaks!
CEO of Qaelon Medical. Pioneering the first and only reliable, real time surgical leak test built on a state-of-the-art insufflator.
LSI Europe is over but the impact is just beginning. Qaelon Medical was proud to present our pioneering work to solve the most dreaded complication in surgery: anastomotic leaks. Congratulations to Scott Pantel and the entire LSI team for creating a community unlike anything else in medtech. Beyond connecting with investors and strengthening relationships with strategics, the learning and sharing with industry leaders provided new insights that will accelerate Qaelon Medical's pathway to the market. Enjoyed “paying it forward” to other CEOs participating on the panel with industry greats Ken Nelson, Bhavesh Barot, Elizabeth Hoff - Telling the Right Story to the Right Person: Secrets to Forging Successful Partnerships With Strategics. I wonder how much easier the path would have been for the start-ups I led earlier in my career with access to an event like this. Special thanks to Blake Matrone, Henry Peck, Maricela Almonte, and the AV Team! #LSIEurope #QaelonMedical
