The black leather used comes from the Haas tannery, Alsace, that produces leather mainly from French calves reared in Aveyron. The suede leather is a full-grain, double-sided leather from the Spanish tannery Dercosa, a specialist in suede leathers. Each boot is the result of an 18-stage craft process. The leather is tanned twice with a vegetable finish to give a natural rendering of the dyes.
