“Without trust, the power of AI is nothing.” This is what Jean-Luc Gibernon reminded us during his opening Keynote of the Trusted AI meetings at the Cyber Campus, this February 3, 2025. - What is the legal framework for the development of AI? ; - AI safety and security: what measurement tools are available? ; - What is the place of ethics in Trusted AI? These were the themes addressed at this event organized by ACN - Alliance pour la Confiance Numérique as part of the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit. The aim of these meetings is to delve deeper into the strategic notion of Trusted AI by bringing in experts from the sector (companies, academics, researchers, etc.), in order to raise awareness among all AI players and help structure its ecosystem. How can we strengthen Franco-German cooperation for a sovereign and competitive European AI industry? This is the question posed by the “French-German AI Industry Executives' Dialogue”, organized in Berlin by the Ambassade de France en Allemagne and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Germany and France have a central role to play in accelerating and strengthening European cooperation in artificial intelligence. In this spirit of conquest, leading French and German players in industry, research and innovation were invited to Berlin for an exclusive high-level dialogue. 👉 The aim? To formulate concrete proposals for creating a sovereign, competitive and trusted European AI industry. These exchanges will feed into discussions at the AI Action Summit, as well as the EU's AI agenda. In two parallel sessions, participants outlined a number of perspectives: - how to ensure a favorable environment for the development and access of AI in Europe: data, energy, computing power, investment, regulation, talent training; - how to encourage industry to benefit from European AI: use cases, linking AI suppliers and users, transfer of skills and research. A few points to remember: - Refuse to be dumbfounded, and take action to make both countries and Europe the center of excellence for high-performance, useful and trusted AI. - Invest in infrastructure, the size of investment funds in Europe, risk culture, regulations, standardization and strengths to create global European AI champions. - Acceptance of AI will be based on trust, which presupposes a security and ethical dimension. - Bringing together political, academic and industrial forces to create the means for European power. IA de Confiance – Cartographie de l’IA en France Envie de mieux cerner le paysage de l’IA en France ? L’ACN - Alliance pour la Confiance Numérique a entrepris de recenser les acteurs de ce secteur en plein essor depuis quelques années. L’objectif est d’apporter un éclairage sur cette filière de l’IA en observant les entreprises sous l’angle des secteurs économiques auxquels leurs solutions s’appliquent. Il en résulte cette roue de l’IA qui croise une vision fondée sur les entreprises IA et une lecture des secteurs d’activité auxquelles elles s’adressent. Cette proposition de cartographie de la filière s’inscrit dans une suite de travaux de l’ACN - Alliance pour la Confiance Numérique dont l’objectif est de visualiser, analyser et comprendre le domaine de l’IA de Confiance, dont l’ACN - Alliance pour la Confiance Numérique, en tant que syndicat professionnel, assure la représentation institutionnelle. Le premier d’entre eux, le livre blanc de l’IA de Confiance, publié il y a quelques mois, avait pour ambition de fournir une première définition des critères permettant de distinguer les IA de Confiance et visait à déconstruire certaines idées reçues au sujet de l’IA. 🚀 Preligens was at #FDDay, the back-to-school event for the French tech ecosystem at the beautiful Musée des Arts Forains in Paris. 🎤 Renaud Allioux, our co-founder was there to discuss DefenseTech's critical role in securing European sovereignty alongside a great panel. He shared his views on : - how technologies like Artificial intelligence are transforming modern warfare. - what challenges Defense Tech startups face that other startup's do not experience. Moderated by Andrea Vaugan, the panel shared insightful views from various horizons: startups, corporates and research labs. 🎤 Eve Gani, Director Business Development and Institutional relations - Defense and Security at Sopra Steria shared key insights on Europe’s need for tech sovereignty in defense and shed light on our European ecosystem. 🎤 Laurence Petit, Chief Innovation Officer at CEA, highlighted the strong interest of the military for disrupting technologies out of the CEA's labs and she shared her perspective on bridging civilian and military tech innovations. 🎤 Mikhail Kokorich , Founder & CEO of Destinus, for bringing his expertise on autonomous flight systems in defense. They all agreed on one major conclusion: European sovereignty in defense depends on cutting-edge technologies and strategic collaboration between corporates, startups and government.
