As 2024 draws to a close, let's take a look back at Saft's highlights of the year! 🔋 From January to December, Saft batteries once again demonstrated their boundless energy and adaptability through a wide range of projects on land 🌍, at sea 🌊, in the air ✈️ and in space 🚀! We started strong by being awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, making Saft the first company in the battery sector to achieve this. 🏅 Many projects were signed throughout the year and we're proud of them all! We also had the pleasure of welcoming Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of TotalEnergies, to our factory in Bordeaux to celebrate TotalEnergies' 100th anniversary. Thank you all for an incredible year! Together, let's #WeEnergizeTheWorld even more in 2025! ⚡

As you may know, the #aviation industry is on a mission to decarbonize by 2050, and to achieve such a goal, there are many solutions. ✈️ Meet John J Sarazen, Aviation Product Manager for the aviation sector at Saft, who will share insights on how the industry has started ongoing efforts to reach the 2050 #decarbonization target. We can consider these technologies as the principal ones: - 🌱 Sustainable aviation fuel – SAF (hi TotalEnergies) - 💧 Hydrogen technology - ⚡Electric propulsion systems What about batteries? They play a major role today in backup and auxiliary applications in an aircraft. But tomorrow, they will support hybrid and fully electric aircraft. For 90 years, Saft has been energizing aircraft, and this is only the beginning. How do you see a sustainable future for aviation transport? Share your thoughts in the comments below! #WeEnergizeTheWorld

[#BatteryVocabulary] Ever heard of NMC batteries? This tech, mostly found in EVs, packs quite a punch! 🚗🔋 The term “NMC battery” stands for Nickel Manganese Cobalt, a type of battery known for its good power performance due to its thermally stable nature. NMC vs. LFP is like the classic debate: performance and energy efficiency vs. cost-effectiveness for mass production. Both are popular in the EV market, each bringing their own superpowers to the table. ⚡️ But NMC technology isn't just for EVs. You'll find it in renewable energy storage systems, electronic devices, and even power tools. ➡️ Curious to learn more about battery chemistry? Check out our website: www.saft.com #WeEnergizeTheWorld

⚡Welcome to our new #SaftThrowback series, where we revisit some of the most remarkable moments in Saft's history. Today we're going deep with the legendary French submarine Ouessant. A symbol of French naval power in the 1930s, the Ouessant relied on Saft batteries to conquer the deep. These batteries were the heartbeat of the submarine, powering its electric motors and ensuring stealthy, efficient operation underwater. 🦑🔋 Why Saft? Our cutting-edge battery technology was the game changer. Our large capacity alkaline nickel-cadmium batteries already offered unrivalled endurance, low hydrogen release and superior electrical insulation. This innovation quadrupled the Ouessant's operational autonomy, making it a formidable force beneath the waves. 🌊 The Ouessant's journey didn't end there. After several successful patrols, it took a dramatic turn during the Second World War. To avoid capture by the advancing German forces, the submarine was scuttled. But the story didn't end there - the Germans refloated it and turned it into a floating power station. 🚢 Stay tuned for the next moments that shaped Saft's legacy! #WeEnergizeTheWorld

👁🗨 In honor of the International day of persons with disabilities, explore the dedicated initiatives at our Nersac plant in France! Two weeks ago, employees from Nersac took part in the 'Adap'ta course,' a solidarity run in Angoulême. Each participant had the opportunity to run alongside a disabled person, fostering connections between able-bodied and disabled individuals. This marks the sixth consecutive year of Saft's involvement in this initiative. 🏃♂️🏃♀️ Additionally, torball sessions were organized in collaboration with the local Handisport Department Committee, giving several Saft employees a chance to experience sport from a new perspective. 🤝 These activities are part of Saft's broader commitment to supporting projects that promote awareness, integration, and retention of disabled individuals in the workforce, through dedicated foundations at each site. #WeEnergizeTheWorld #InclusionatSaft

👩💻 Over the past few years, data centers have become the main pillars of digital infrastructure. Did you know that data centers consumed 1% of all the world’s electricity in 2023? 😮 A large part of their demand comes from cooling systems that keep servers at temperatures around 25°C, which also requires a significant amount of water. The good news is that one effective way to reduce the carbon footprint of data centers is to use batteries. They offer multiple benefits, including reduced power consumption, financial savings, and long-term value. Learn more in our white paper: https://lnkd.in/eVBsG4Da #WeEnergizeTheWorld

Yesterday was a special day dedicated to a more inclusive society for people with disabilities! 🌟 On the occasion of the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities, our site in Nersac, France, took part in DuoDay FR 2024 with 4 pairs. 🤔 What is DuoDay? It's a national day organized every year in France to share everyday working life with a disabled person, to welcome them into a company and to give them the opportunity to observe or actively participate in the work of the employees. Saft Nersac is taking part in this event for the 6th time and has already had the opportunity to create 20 pairs, a great opportunity for people to meet, change their attitudes and together overcome prejudices about disability. For this special day, we had the pleasure of welcoming Nathalie CLARENC, Sub-Prefect of Préfecture de la Charente, accompanied by Cap Emploi. 💪 Let's all work together to create an inclusive society! #WeEnergizeTheWorld #DuoDay2024 #SEEPH
