"Kyutai’s Moshi was trained on our GPUs, in France. If it had been trained in the US, it would have generated 11x more emissions [due to French electricity's lower carbon intensity]. Furthermore, we use 30-40% less energy than standard data centers, by avoiding air conditioning. Plus, as we don’t use cooling towers, we use 100s of times less water than other data centers. Finally, Moshi is open source, and open science.
