Since our inception in 2021, we have been driven by a single mission: bringing precision immunology to patients with immune conditions. Today, we are excited to announce a strategic partnership with OSE Immunotherapeutics, a leading European biotech, to harness the Scienta Lab technological platform in pursuit of this goal. Within the collaboration, we will deploy EVA, our foundation model for immunology and inflammation, alongside Explainable AI pipelines to stratify immuno-inflammatory diseases into distinct subtypes based on multimodal signatures. This approach will support the identification of patient subgroups most likely to benefit from targeted therapeutic options. Shoutout to the OSE team Nicolas Poirier, Fiona Olivier, Aurore Morello and Isabelle Girault for their outstanding work. Let’s make it happen together! 🎤🗓️ Scienta Lab is pleased to announce that the results of its latest research on the molecular stratification of Sjögren’s Disease, conducted in collaboration with Servier, will be presented at the American College of Rheumatology 2024 Convergence Conference in Washington, DC. In an oral presentation, Vincent Bouget, our co-founder and CSO, will demonstrate how we’ve leveraged our proprietary foundation model, EVA, to identify molecular biomarkers for Sjögren’s Disease stratification. These findings shed new light on disease heterogeneity and pave the way for more precise, targeted therapeutic strategies. During this session, Vincent will also provide an update on our second project in the space: a multicenter validation of a machine learning foundation model to diagnose Sjögren’s disease and identify histological biomarkers for disease stratification. Join us at the ACR Convergence on Monday, November 18th, at 3:00 PM (Room 103AB, Washington Convention Center) for these insightful presentations! Press release available in the comment section 👇

Interested in learning how Scienta Lab trained a foundation model from scratch to understand the links between some dermatological autoimmune diseases? Read our blog post below ⏬ In summary : • Data: We used private electronic health record from the UK database OPCRD, gathering 2.7 million of patients suffering from immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. • Model and training method: We trained a Transformer model on a classic MLM task and tweaked the model to specify it to our needs  • Analysis: We extracted ~ 50k patients suffering from dermatological immune diseases. We used our trained model to compute their embeddings and cluster them.  • Results: Our model managed to grasp the diseases continuum and to isolate subgroups of patients within a given disease, opening the path for targeted therapeutic approaches. PS: If you'd like to be part of the adventure by helping to push forward Scienta Lab's technological capabilities ➡️ Julien Duquesne is hiring, drop him a note on Linkedin ;)
