🙌 🔋Our V2G charging technology in action! During the National Drive Electric Week, the University of Delaware together with industry partners Delmarva Power, PJM Interconnection, Nuuve, and Ford Motor Company showcased the added value of #electricvehicles equipped with our bidirectional BPMU-R2 vehicle-to-grid (V2G) charging technology. 🚗 This pilot project is the first standards-compliant example of V2G in use, putting power back into the grid and setting a pathway for cost-effective, mass manufactured #V2G. 👉 Four Ford Mach-E vehicles from Delmarva Power’s transportation fleet have been equipped with Watt & Well’s V2G power module and connected to Nuvve charging stations. Linked together, they form a virtual power plant, storing #energy during off-peak times and supplying it back during peak demand. The pilot showed that these vehicles can be used for daily fleet operations and provide grid services when parked. Their performance and provision of grid services will be monitored over the next year by UD and Nuvve to evaluate their dual functionality. V2G systems rely on bidirectional AC/DC converters to charge and discharge batteries. At Watt & Well we’re pioneering #bidirectional charging modules to deliver advanced energy services. If you are involved in V2G or ESS projects which require innovative power electronics systems, we are ready to partner with you ! 🤝 📸 Evan Krape

Transform Your Industrial Projects with EVCC: Charging Technology Beyond Electric Vehicles! ⚡️ In electric vehicle charging process, communication boards enable the charge point to communicate with the vehicle where the battery is to be charged. The supply equipment communication controller (SECC) manages the charging process on the charging station side, while the electric vehicle communication controller (EVCC) is embedded within #EVs. However, innovative use cases beyond automotive require EVCC for #industrial application 👇 ✅ Mobile battery containers for EV charging stations By integrating EVCC into #battery containers, they can be charged like EVs via external chargers, while incorporating SECC enables them to charge other EVs. ✅ Charging industrial motors according to CCS protocol Our EVCC supports specific functions and is designed to be integrated within industrial vehicles such as electric trucks, construction vehicles, boats etc. Designed for industrial applications, our EVCC embeds a powerful processor to run communications stack and demanding applications, with all the required signals for CCS/Combo (DIN70121 and ISO15118) protocol. Manufactured at our production facilities in Pertuis, France, our EVCC will shortly be available on the market. 🤝 Have a innovative case requiring EVCC? Let’s collaborate and drive #innovation together!

📣 🚗 A new step towards the US EV Market! We’re proud to announce that our Supply Equipment Communication Controller (SECC), a key component of EV charging station, has received the UL 2231 #certification of safety standards compliance for US and Canadian markets. ✅ UL 2231 is the safety standard for #EV supply circuits with specific requirements for protection devices used in charging systems. Our SECC integrates an insulation monitoring device (IM/I), making it a compact, reliable, and safe solution for efficient EV architecture. ⚡ Already CE-marked under IEC61557-8, our product successfully passed UL Solutions' rigorous process, analyzing the product’s construction and testing performance. A factory audit is currently underway in California as we gear up for US production by year’s end. We were delighted to receive the following feedback: "Congratulations the EVI-Cx-[Ax][-o][-W][-P] device successfully passed all testing without adjustable setpoint setting.", E-Mobility Project Manager for UL Solutions. 🌍 This UL 2231 certification now places Watt & Well within a very limited club of IM/I manufacturers certified in North America and around the world. 👉 So, if you’re resolutely committed to #safety for your EV supply equipment, make sure you choose Watt & Well.

🙌 Introducing our MPU-R2: The Future of EV Charging is Here Anyone familiar with Moore’s law, will not be surprised by the launch of our latest #EVcharging module, the MPU-R2 (for 2 rack units) able to convert power from AC tri-phase grid to DC EV battery. More powerful and compact than our popular MPU-R3, it is designed to meet the needs of the latest generation of EV. An MPU-R2-DC module is also available for DC to DC power conversion. 🚗⚡️ Based on highly efficient silicon carbide (SiC) #technology, peak efficiency of our MPU-R2 reaches more than 96.5% and efficiency is consistently above 94% for a wide range of battery voltage and current, making it one of the most efficient #powermodules on the market. And unlike lower-cost products, it also features additional safety protections including an integrated output fuse and reverse diode. ➡ As the sole manufacturer of power modules, communication controllers (SECC), and insulation monitoring devices (IMD), Watt & Well offers seamless integration support for full compatibility and #reliability. Our design enables very good repairability, making the MPU-R2 one of the most sustainable EV charging solutions available. 📈 Having completed qualification and CE certification, we’re now ramping up production at our production facilities in Pertuis, France. And we’re getting ready to launch production of UL2202 certified units in the USA by the end of the year. Have you placed your order yet?
