🐸 Leapfrogging: #Hydrogen core network decided 🇩🇪🇪🇺 ↗️ A big step forward for Europe’s #hydrogen sector: The 🇩🇪 German Federal Network Agency has approved a core network spanning 9,040 kilometers. 👍 About 60% of the pipelines will be converted from existing natural gas infrastructure, while the rest will be newly constructed. 👍 By 2032, the network will have a feed-in capacity of 101 GW and a feed-out capacity of 87 GW, making it the largest hydrogen pipeline system worldwide. 💶 The 15 transmission system operators (TSOs) responsible for building and operating the network will invest €18.9 billion, with the project set for completion in 2032. 🗽 This is a monumental milestone for the hydrogen development in Europe as it constitutes the basis of the European backbone. 🫶 🎯 Hydrogen happens‼️ FNB Gas e.V. 🚨 Avec 31% des émissions nationales, le secteur de la #mobilité est le premier émetteur de gaz à effet de serre (GES) du pays. Le transport routier de marchandises, représente, quant à lui, 20% des émissions de GES du transport, soit près de 26 millions de tonnes par an ; des chiffres conséquents qui témoignent du rôle essentiel de la mobilité dans la lutte contre le réchauffement climatique. 🌿 Pour atteindre les objectifs nationaux et internationaux, l’urgence est à l’accélération de la #décarbonation ! Dans ce cadre, le développement de l’#hydrogène en complément de celui des énergies renouvelables, du nucléaire et de la maîtrise de la demande énergétique, est indispensable. Pour le secteur du transport lourd, une part de camions hydrogène est capital pour atteindre un mix de véhicules #zéroémission à l’échappement. 🚛 L’hydrogène est particulièrement pertinent pour la mobilité lourde et les usages intensifs. La filière se développe, à l'image du camion qui, avec ses nombreux avantages (autonomie importante, temps de recharge rapide, haut niveau de disponibilité requis...) permet de répondre avec efficacité aux contraintes opérationnelles du secteur. 🌊#Hydropower remains the largest source of #renewableenergy globally. However, annual additions are slowing—only 6.6 GW added in 2023, down from 23 GW the previous year. The slowdown has impacted employment in key markets, resulting in a 16% job reduction. #China remains the leading provider of #hydropower jobs, accounting for 34% of the global total, followed by #India, #Brazil, #Vietnam, and #Pakistan.
