We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst M/F on a permanent contract at our site in Templemars (59).

What's the job?

Role Purpose

To work with the Finance Business Partner to provide support & challenge to the Offer teams through key financial analysis; helping to drive effective range decisions and performance improvement.

To work with EMEA Finance Manager to support sourcing activities.

Offer

Range planning activities

• Analysis and modelling of sales and net margin data to support ranging decisions and understand current and future product profitability
• Interpreting analysis to provide essential insight on range performance to Commercial Finance Business Partners to support decision making
• Validation of sourcing and supply chain outputs to understand net margin improvements achieved
  
  

Commercial Category support

• Working flexibly and collaboratively to improve, share and standardize analytical approaches and procedures within the team and wider finance & O&S community.
  
  

Sourcing

Financial Analysis

• Budgeting and forecasting commercial KPI’s like shipments, cost price changes, synergies, rebates
• Preparing group monthly reports, gap analysis and comments
• Analysis and validations of cost price changes
  
  

Data integrity

• Ensure data quality and accuracy in used systems
• Designing and implementing new reports in Excel and Power BI
• Extracting large data sets and updating existing reports
  
  

Supporting

• Supporting rebate collection process
• Ad hoc analysis to deliver insights and propose new reporting and process improvement
  
  

Technical Competencies

What you'll bring

• Strong excel skills particularly ability to manipulate and use efficiently high volumes of data
• Power BI will be a huge advantage.
• Ability to distil data into meaningful insight and present key headlines succinctly.

Core Knowledge/Experience Required

• A proven analytical ability, creating and developing commercial analysis that drives decision making.
• Proven experience business partnering or working with and influencing non finance teams, in a international company and matrix organisation.
• Demonstrating past experience of taking a lead on and owning projects, working efficiently to meet deadlines and using initiative to solve business problems.
• Problem solving and decision making; open minded to ideas, makes decisions based on factual information and evidence, resolves problems promptly, prepared to make a decision rather than avoid doing so and explores a range of options before reaching a decision.
• Retail or sourcing office experience although not essential would be an advantage
• Qualified/part qualified accountant with experience of having worked in a commercially focussed environment.
