ROLE: EUROPEAN GRANT EXPERTS

Da Vinci Labs is a deep tech incubator based in Touraine (France), dedicated to supporting start-ups that use quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, and synthetic biology to address major environmental challenges. We want experienced European Grant Experts to reinforce our writing team! As a European Grant Expert, you will prepare and submit responses to National and European project calls to obtain funding. We seek highly experienced writers with scientific knowledge alongside multiple verticals: health, environment, climate, physics, digital, AI, manufacturing, transportation…

GENERAL TASKS

• Write National and European funding applications
• Assemble consortium and build project to answer specific calls for proposals
• Monitor National and European calls for our established partners
• Manage consortium during proposal writing
• Submit proposals on behalf of consortium partners
• Create, manage, and engage a network of potential partners at the European level
• Create a pipeline of projects, juggling with deadlines and instruments

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with European funding instruments (Horizon Europe, EIC) and a deep understanding of the underlying mechanisms (budget, work plan), ensuring autonomy in managing projects effectively
• Excellent writing, storytelling, communication, and networking skills
• Technical, scientific, business, and financial analysis skills
• Competent in project management
• Ability to multitask between projects with different subjects
• Ability to work with deadlines and maintain composure during intense final phases
• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory

• You truly enjoy writing about science and technology and deep tech is a world you would like to explore further
• Working under tight deadlines does not create stress for you
• You are detail-oriented while also appreciating the global vision of a project
• You speak French or want to learn it (but this won’t be a tiebreaker!)
