বলা, Sea Hibiscus with showy flower বলা। Bola, Sea Hibiscus or Beach Hibiscus, Hibiscus tiliaceus. All along the coastal areas in Bangladesh and many countries in the world, Sea Hibiscus is well distributed. Because of its attractively showy, large flowers and ease of cultivation it has made inroad to many countries, especially cities as an ornamental shrub or tree. Our famous বলা/Bola gachh from the Sundarban is this plant. It's a pioneering species and always found along the river or canal banks in the Sundarban as well as inshore and offshore islands. In the Sundarban, its tangled, soft, pliable branches provide chief and easy fuelwood for thousnads of villagers dotting the periphery of the Sundarban. Sometimes the tanged mass is even known to hide the majestic Bengal Tiger that occasionally pounches on the unsuspecting bawali, the woodcutter and honey gatherer. Cultivars of Sea Hibiscus might have variegated or reddish flowers as some wild ones might have. In Dubai vis a' vis the UAE this plant has got a good place in fashionable avenues, parks, road verges and places of public attractions. Flowers attract birds, butterflies and other insects as they enjoy their pollens.

It's time we take action to protect and restore our precious forests and oceans and finally Earth before it's too late. The promotion of agritourism and gastronomy by developing an Agri-Food, Gastronomy and Tourism Interconnection Network that will act as the thematic national Destination Management Organization (DMO), for gastronomy and agritourism. These new promotion tools aim to further highlight Greece as a destination of global appeal distinguished for its quality, authenticity and unique travel experiences.
