Carbon Robotics recently raised $70 million in a Series D funding round, led by investment giant BOND, with support from notable backers like nVentures.
They do AI-powered weed control! 🌾
ℹ️ Bit of facts about the LaserWeeder!
→ The machine can remove weeds from over 40 crops and thin crops as well.
→ Thanks to its built-in lighting system, it can be used in virtually any weather conditions and with millimeter accuracy at all times.
→ Computer machine learning and high-resolution cameras allow it to distinguish weeds from crops in milliseconds.
→ The LaserWeeder can replace about 70 workers on farms that use manual weeding and can weed up to four acres per hour.
The new funds will support the company’s push to scale production, innovate its software and hardware, and expand internationally, targeting markets in Asia-Pacific and Europe.
The decision to sell directly to farmers, rather than adopting a subscription-based robots-as-a-service model, underscores their commitment to accessibility and independence for farmers. 👨🏻🌾
CEO Paul Mikesell shared that the investment will also facilitate a new 24,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Eastern Washington.

Il ne faut pas lutter contre cette évolution du marché du travail, mais repenser le travail lui-même. il ne peut plus être seulement être reconnu dans le cadre d'une activité de production car la robotisation de nos sociétés va occuper 100% de cet espace.
