Top 3 tips for EXPO WEST
Today is the ONE MONTH countdown for #naturalproducts #expowest. This will be SOMOS Foods 3rd EXPO WEST and my 12th time attending the show! Each year, I find myself just as excited to reunite with my CPG family as I was the year before. If you're newer to the Expo West scene, here are my top three tips for brands: #1 Attend Before You Spend: Before you spend money on a booth of your own, attend the show to observe. Walk the floor, observe what others in your space are doing and take it all in. It's hard to describe Expo - it's something you have to experience. #2 Delicious Food Wins: People can't fall in love with your brand unless they can taste your products. Think hard about the ratio of budget spent on creating the most delicious food possible vs. travel, booth logistic and decor expenses. The best compliment we can get at the SOMOS booth is, "wow, I can't believe this came out of the microwave!" #3 Make Moving Billboards: From our shirts, to our booth, to our tote bags, to the plates and cups that show attendees carry around the floor while eating our walking nachos, we're flooding the floor with SOMOS pink! Expo is crowded and the more you can get people repping your brand, the more foot traffic your booth will get. What did I miss (besides comfortable shoes and prioritizing staying hydrated)?! Comparons ce qui est comparable ! ************************************ non pas que je renis que prowein stagne et que paris progresse, mais dans le cas d'une demarche export Paris annonce donc 41,253 visiteurs avec 41% d'internationaux ce qui nous amene donc a moins de 17 000 visiteurs etrangers. Prowein annonce 47 000 visiteurs et pour nous francais, c'est 100% export. donc d'un côté 17 000 potentiels et de l'autre 47 000 potentiels Il y a donc encore un différentiel de 30 000 visiteurs entre les deux ! A moyen terme en tout cas, il est difficile de se dire "go paris, out prowein" tant il est compliqué pour nous exposants, de faire un choix financier et commercial si la stratégie est un développement export et non un développement en France. Pour avoir fait un devis, Paris ne coute pas moins cher que Prowein, je suis navré, mais c’est un argument qui ne tient pas nous concernant et c’est tellement "tordu" qu'on ne peux meme pas utiliser le stand de prowein sur Paris car on ne peut pas avoir les mêmes m² et options ! Le marché est compliqué, et les investissments commerciaux qui en découlent ne sont pas aussi facile a prendre. https://lnkd.in/eEXWewgM

Natural Products Expo West 2024 is over! Here are some takeaways: * Pre-show preparation is key - the more appointments you schedule prior to the show the more productive the week will be * Choose your booth location wisely - North/hot products areas started on Wednesday and the rest opened up on Thursday. The two busiest days were Wednesday and Thursday so unless you were located in North/hot products areas, you only had one productive day out of the three. Friday morning most major retailers and distributors were heading for the airport * Organic, natural, sustainable, regenerative, plant based - these are not going anywhere! Retailers and consumers continue to demand it and these categories will continue to grow, especially as pricing becomes more competitive * If you’re going to do just one show on the west coast and you have an organic/natural product, NPE West needs to be that show * Buyers from Walmart, Costco, Whole Foods and many other major retailers and distributors were walking the show. Your booth presentation, location, messaging, packaging and aggressiveness has everything to do with capturing their attention The feedback from exhibitors regarding the effectiveness is quite mixed - some had the best show ever and yet others did not get a single attractive lead. Regardless of the volume of leads, the real work to turn them in to high quality connections begins now. Safe travels home and good luck! #Pointoneinternational #Kaunogrudai #npe2024 #organic
