I rarely take the time to share big updates, so I thought I’d jump on the 2024 recap wave and catch up! This year has been full of firsts: 💸 First 50P Capital Health Fund* launched! Huge kudos to my counterpart Jean Roubas and Karine Brana for driving the momentum and making this happen! 🎉 First #50HealthDay: a packed, energizing morning with our Partners, Founders, and awesome Guests! It’s fantastic working with you. 🤝 First full group of 50 Partners Health Partners officially closed: 50 exceptional entrepreneurs committed to supporting new founders over the long term. Some are already three years into this journey -bravo Sophie Kerob!-, and it’s deeply rewarding to see the collective impact taking shape 💪👏 But beyond the milestones, what really drives us is working on projects that make a difference in healthcare—helping professionals, supporting patients, and improving access to care: - Making dermatology follow-ups easy with Pixacare - Empowering women’s health with Jeen - Anticipating surgical complications with SurgeCare - Extending access to rehabilitation for all with Ensweet - telerehabilitation solutions - Creating tailored solutions for dyslexia management with Glaaster - Providing Lyme disease diagnostics from day one with En Carta Diagnostics - Opening new doors to skin disease treatments with BioHive - Improving wound healing with MEDICUD - Supporting cancer patients through and after treatment with Maisons Soma - Helping ALS patients communicate in new ways with Wyes. (Already amazing feedback from families ❤️ ) While we follow the progress of GutyCare, now part of Resilience, as it helps patients with Crohn’s disease improve their quality of life. A special shout-out to Adrien Rouanet, our Associate, for his dedication this year— lucky to work with such a driven and reliable team @Jean and Adrien. And of course, a big thank you to Blanche Coulon and Olivier de Lencquesaing, our 2024 analysts. On a personal note, 2024 also brought me some exciting firsts: 🪂 My first solo paragliding flight 🧗♀️ Discovering climbing in Fontainebleau on crisp November Sundays—who knew winter weekends are best spent outdoors? ❄️😅 I’m excited about what’s to come in 2025. Their innovation provides pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies with more predictive models for drug testing and the discovery of new therapeutic targets. 🩹 MEDICUD : Based in Italy, co-founded by Antonio Nunzio D'angelo and Andrea Cazzulani, Medicud is improving wound healing, particularly after surgeries like cesarean sections. Their device, based on Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, accelerates the healing process and reduces the risk of post-operative complications. 🏩 Maisons Soma : Julie Dollé and Clarisse Terrasson are creating the first network of supportive oncology care homes, offering coordinated paramedical care pathways to help patients recovering from the after-effects of cancer. It started with a seemingly simple ambition: enabling medical professionals to share their reports with a single click. // In reality, this was not simple at all: Lifen invested huge technical and operational efforts. The result? An average time-saving of ⏳ 3 hours per day per medical secretary, and stronger collaboration between city practices and hospitals 🏥. 💪💪💪 🤩 Today, Lifen offers much more! After a pilot project with Gustave Roussy to build the LUCC multicenter cohort, aimed at characterizing lung cancer patients 🫁 (over 3,000 patients from 17 centers in under 9 months), Lifen is accelerating the development of Lifen DataLab: a solution to collect and structure real-world patient data for clinical research—a time-consuming and costly process today. Lifen and #France2030 (operated by Bpifrance) have just announced a €15M investment 💶 to boost the development of DataLab. The hospital environment and care pathways between city and hospital are notoriously complex, and large-scale adoption only happens when tools prove their worth in real-world settings. For healthcare entrepreneurs, focusing on solving one 'simple' problem on the ground, before moving to fancier ambitions seems to be the right approach 💡.
