We’ve expanded our geology team in North Wales with new graduates, Fiha Ruzieqna, Maria Alejandra Hernandez and Tom Adamson! Graduates are an integral part of our team and work alongside those with 30+ years experience, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovative data collection, analysis, and delivery for our clients. Get to know our new grads, from left to right: • Meet Tom Adamson: Tom joined CGG after two years working in market intelligence within the renewable energy sector. He graduated from the University of Aberdeen and Imperial College London with a keen interest in sedimentology and data science. Tom is currently working in CGG’s R&D team researching new techniques to review porosity and permeability estimates. Outside of work, he is passionate about hiking and has set himself the ambitious goal of summiting every peak in Snowdonia within his first year in Wales! • Meet Fiha Ruzieqna: Fiha is from Indonesia and joined CGG after graduating with a master's in petroleum geoscience from Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU). She holds a bachelor's in geological engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and spent almost two years at PERTAMINA EP followed by a summer internship at Earth Science Analytics. At CGG, Fiha focuses on automating well log data and interpretation within the petrophysics and Data Hub team. Beyond geoscience, she's an avid language learner, delving into Korean, Japanese, and Norwegian. When not exploring North Wales or the whole UK for culinary delights, you'll find her honing her language skills and subtitling Korean shows. • Meet Maria Alejandra Hernandez: Maria joined CGG after completing her master's in geophysics from the Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia. Her background is focused on integrating machine learning techniques to solve geological-geophysical problems, particularly in the field of seismic imaging. She is also actively involved in Latin American academic chapters to support and share knowledge with future geoscientists. Outside of work, Maria enjoys playing tennis and running along the Llandudno North Shore beach. Welcome, Fiha, Maria and Tom!
