Our AlpTextyles - Interreg Alpine Space Project partners rock! Looking forward to the International Wool Textile Organisation roundtable, Markus Lambracht
Alpine Wool Geography❓ We present #mappings that visualize the Alpine "wool geography": A complex regulatory framework results in a scale split – the local and the global level function in very different ways. Promising regional initiatives try to bridge these gaps. We contribute with mapping value creation, production networks and institutional constellations of the textile and wool sector in the #European #Alps from an #economicgeography perspective. 🗣️ As speaker at the International Wool Textile Organisation Roundtable 2024, I provide insights into the current situation of Alpine wool. Together with other partners, key results from the first phase of the AlpTextyles - Interreg Alpine Space Project will be presented and discussed at the global level. 🗣️ To discover more, visit: https://lnkd.in/dbD7ZFhM 🗣️ Link to the event: https://lnkd.in/dQezbY-j #IWTO #EuropeanWool #mapping #AlpTextyles

Great opportunity to improve your #ethnographic #theory building skills Not focused on marketing or consumer research, but this might interest sole of you
The next edition of the Ethnoworkshop will take place at emlyon Ethnography Institute on May 12 & 13 2025. The workshop will focus on the production of ethnographic theory. Indeed, connecting theory with observation lies at the heart of ethnography, yet producing ethnographic theory is one of the most challenging tasks ethnographers face. The workshop is designed to help early-stage scholars overcome some of these challenges, specifically to connect empirical material and existing knowledge to produce ethnographic theory addressing questions about organisational and managerial questions in contexts not limited to the ‘traditional organisation.’ Ignasi Marti Virginie Blum Valérie Jobard Joonas Rokka The full description of the event and CFP is available here:

Today is the first UNESCO International Day of Intangible #culturalheritage. We at the #lifestyle research center are working to develop tools and guidelines to put #marketing and #consumer research at the service of #safeguarding the #livingheritage of communities - in the #Alps and beyond.
🌍 Today, we proudly celebrate UNESCO’s first International Day of Intangible Cultural Heritage! At #AlpTextyles, we honor the living traditions and knowledge passed down through generations in the heart of the Alps. From ancient weaving techniques to sustainable practices rooted in our region, these intangible assets are the threads that connect us to our past and inspire a more resilient, community-driven future. As we celebrate today, we reflect on the value of craftsmanship, cultural diversity, and the stories embedded in each textile, continuing to weave a rich tapestry for the generations to come.
