Galvanizing the Private Sector (GPS)

Earlier this month I had the fantastic opportunity to present the Galvanizing the Private Sector (GPS) initiative at the 2024 HETHICO conference. 🎤 In my keynote speech I highlighted: 🔸the importance of public-private collaboration on anti-corruption and integrity 🔸the power of collective action initiatives 🔸and opportunities to get involved Many thanks to Anne-Sophie Bricca for moderating the engaging Q&A session with almost 200 distinguished compliance professionals in the life sciences sector! ✨ My key takeaway: compliance officers are eager to engage directly to transform markets and societies! Discussions focused on the value of public-private engagement to strengthen integrity and anti-corruption policies, with valuable insights from speakers Alexis P. Mendoza, Erik Veltman, Fernando Fraile González, Jaana Kuusisto and Răzvan Boștinaru.

🎤GPS Public-Private Dialogue on the Implementation of Anti-corruption Measures in Infrastructure: Leveraging emerging technologies to tackle integrity risks 🎬 Watch the replay here: https://shorturl.at/eQNel   Last week, the OECD organised the public-private dialogue on the use of technology to mitigate integrity risks in infrastructure projects. The Public-Private Integrity Accelerator (PPIA) under GPS is a peer-to-peer mentoring programme, matching integrity officials from public organisations with compliance professionals from major multinationals in the private sector. It's a tool to drive integrity improvements and level the playing field through mutual learning. We are pleased to have Ericsson and Brazilian Office of the Comptroller General (CGU) on board!

Hoje, a convite da OCDE (Organização para a Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Econômico), fiz uma apresentação sobre o uso de tecnologias emergentes pelo compliance em ações anticorrupção, no webinar "Leveraging Emerging Technologies to Tackle Integrity Risks / Public-Private Dialogue on The Implementation of Anti-Corruption Measures in Infrastructure Projetcs", organizado no âmbito da Global Initiative to Galvanize the Private Sector as Partners in Combatting Corruption (GPS). Apresentei, inicialmente, a nossa ferramenta LÊ-AI, desenvolvida pelo nosso time da Diretoria Executiva de Governança e Conformidade da Petrobras, que usa inteligência artificial para ler documentos e mapear ativos, a exemplo daqueles bens pertencentes a empresas devedoras da companhia. Também falei um pouco sobre o potencial do uso de ferramentas de process mining (mineração de processos) e de data mining (mineração de dados) pelo compliance, com o objetivo identificar indícios de irregularidades e, se for o caso, apurar eventuais responsabilidades. Por fim, debatemos como tecnologias emergentes podem auxiliar para disseminar boas práticas de governança e integridade em toda a cadeia de fornecedores, principalmente para médias e pequenas empresas, que, em geral, não dispõem das mesmas condições e volumes de recursos das grande corporações.
