The location of BB Casamatta is really perfect, in the heart of the old town of Naples. We literally had to walk five minutes to reach the famous cathedral of Naples. Can't get any better than this. My boyfriend and I had a rather small accommodation, with a tiny sitting room and a bathroom on the ground floor, and an open-plan bedroom upstairs. The quality of the bed was not that great and the shower door was halfway blocked so that we had to enter sideways. If you are a larger person you simply would not be able to enter the shower. The room lacked storage and there were too few coat hangers to hang up our clothes. Sometimes we noticed a very unpleasant smell, seemingly coming from the bathroom, but the source of the smell remained a mystery. Our accommodation was really quiet, except for when it rained. The drumming noise produced by the rain even woke me up at night. Breakfast was ok, according to Italian standards. The lovely girl who worked at the B&B brought croissants, cake, fruit and yoghurt to the lovely patio where we had breakfast. There were no savoury options for breakfast. The girl who served breakfast gave us some great tips for visiting Herculaneum, which we were very grateful for. The B&B had a beautiful bar, sadly it was only ment to look at. The owner was really firm when I asked through whatsapp if this was an honesty bar, since nobody was present to poor some drinks. She messaged us that the bottles were protected by an alarm system and we weren't allowed to touch them. I almost felt bad for asking, such a stern reply.
