(ბმული კომენტარებში) Zhao Defa’s acclaimed novella Through Mountains and Seas is now available in Georgian! The translation from Chinese to Georgian was carried out by Teona Gelashvili, a sinologist and lecturer at Tbilisi State University, as well as a member of the Caucasian Association of China Studies. Zhao Defa, a contemporary Chinese author, was born in Shandong Province in 1955. He is currently a member of the National Committee of the Chinese Writers’ Association and formerly served as the Vice Chairman of the Shandong Writers’ Association. His literary works have earned numerous prestigious awards, including the Hundred Flowers Award for Monthly Novels, the Chinese Writers Award, the Qilu Literary Award, the Taishan Literature Award, among others. The novella Through Mountains and Seas received recognition at the 15th National Spiritual Civilization Construction Awards. Additionally, Zhao Defa’s works are featured in the Recommended Catalogue of Hundreds of Translated Books Published in New China Over the Past 70 Years. The novella also won the Gold Award at the 4th Annual Chinese Literary Novel Awards. Remarkably, Through Mountains and Seas has been translated into a foreign language for the first time. this exceptional work is now accessible to Georgian readers! Kudos to Teona Gelashvili!
