  • Fresh website design concept for a forum from the oil and gas industry. We are developing a modern and technological website for the Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum (TNF). The site concept reflects the endless dynamics and energy of the forum, where ideas are born and experience is exchanged. For this purpose, we integrated dynamic gradients and elements with an emphasis on the starting point from the TNF logo, symbolizing the beginning of the movement. One of the main tasks was to improve the structure and navigation so that users can easily find the information they need. We also adapt the design to the new visual concept of the forum. Of course, our creative and original handwriting was not left out. The final design combines minimalism, brightness and technology, while remaining strict and professional. It is oriented on fast and comfortable work for the forum audience - politicians, executives and top managers who have every minute to count. Design - Marina Kuklina Art-direction - Alexander Pedchenko Management - Tatyana Kyshtymova

We Don’t Create, We Destroy: How We Redesigned Our Website and Changed Its Concept. Our new slogan is not just words but a key to our renewed philosophy. We decided to "destroy" conventional approaches in order to gather, from the rubble, a bolder, more aesthetic, and creative reality. In the article, we talk about the website relaunch, the symbolic stone chip, and a new perspective on design, where aesthetics dictate the rules, and limitations serve as mere raw materials for building the future. This is the first article in a series of stories about our transformation. Up next, we will discuss the design and development of the new website. https://lnkd.in/db-9nhCQ

Beyond Convenience: The Power of Beautiful Interfaces The beauty of an interface can outweigh the power of pure convenience. When the design captivates and evokes emotion, people are willing to spend time exploring it. This turns the learning process into an engaging experience, provides a sense of achievement, and strengthens the emotional connection with the brand. Of course, much depends on the individual user and their preferences, but anyone can appreciate beauty alongside convenience. Ultimately, aesthetics become a motivator: the interface isn’t just a tool, it inspires the user throughout the interaction.

We are dedicating our first line of mockups for our community to the theme of natural elements and we are starting with earth. During December we will share more mockups of water, fire and air. If this theme appeals to you, we will continue to release new concept ranges and develop this trend. Showing designs on mockups is a good way to visualise a project, and if you add an original environment, you can really stand out well. https://lnkd.in/dQW_hyEn

When precious experience becomes a burden. In creative work, having a lot of experience can sometimes be a hindrance for several reasons: Habitual thinking patterns. With experience, people often get used to solving problems in a certain way, which creates fixed cognitive patterns. These patterns help with routine tasks but can limit thinking when an unconventional approach is needed. In creative work, such patterns inhibit a "fresh" perspective, limit imagination, and incline people toward tried-and-true but often outdated methods. Reduced mental flexibility. Studies show that with age and experience, mental flexibility tends to decrease. This means it becomes harder to adapt to new ideas, try unconventional methods, or explore new possibilities. As a result, experienced specialists may prefer familiar approaches, which runs counter to creativity principles, where experimentation and handling uncertainty are essential. Tendency to avoid risk. With experience, people often become more cautious, as they have seen many examples of failure and mistakes. This caution is useful in practical fields, but it can be restrictive in creative work. Fear of failure prevents the generation of bold, innovative ideas. Perception biases and ingrained beliefs. Accumulated beliefs and knowledge sometimes act as a filter through which a person perceives new ideas. This can lead to bias and an unwillingness to accept something unusual that contradicts past experiences. Fatigue from novelty. People with a lot of experience have often encountered many ideas, solutions, and concepts already. As a result, new approaches or ideas may feel like repetitions of the past, which leads to a quick loss of interest and motivation. Focus on achievements and results rather than the process. Experienced professionals often strive for quick results and efficiency because these are valued in professional environments. But creativity is more about exploration and experimentation than achieving a specific outcome. An overemphasis on results can stifle the creative process, hindering the discovery of original solutions. Thus, in creative work, what matters is not so much the depth of experience as the willingness and ability to think flexibly, openly, and free from the constraints imposed by the past.

How to Balance Listening to Yourself and Others When Designing. The balance between one’s own vision and the perspectives of others is key to a successful project. It’s important to consider your creative vision as well as the needs and expectations of the audience, clients, and team. Here are some approaches to finding this balance: Define the project’s goals and objectives First, clarify with the client the main goals of the project: who it’s for and what impact it should have. This creates a shared foundation for understanding feedback and guiding creativity. Research your audience Understanding user needs is a crucial part of the process. Strike a balance between your ideas and what matters to the audience. Research provides clearer guidelines and helps refine direction. Develop a “language” for team communication Team feedback can often feel vague. Ask clarifying questions to better understand expectations and tailor your ideas accordingly. Provide context for your ideas Explain the reasoning behind your ideas. Show how your approach addresses project goals—this helps the team appreciate the value of your vision. Leave room for creativity Incorporate your ideas to ensure the project retains uniqueness. Sometimes, it’s helpful to present both a version that meets the client’s request closely and another that reflects your vision. Apply iteration and testing Create prototypes to visually convey ideas and gather feedback. This enables an objective evaluation of elements and lets you adapt your vision while retaining its essence. Use feedback as a growth tool Focus on constructive feedback that strengthens the project, and separate it from purely subjective opinions. Stay true to your values and style When receiving feedback, consider how it aligns with your creative vision and style. If your style significantly differs from expectations, discuss the possibility of flexibility. Cultivate empathy Empathy helps you better understand the client’s and audience’s perspectives, making it easier to harmonize their needs with your vision. Be open to new ideas Listening to others doesn’t mean conforming. Outside perspectives can inspire new solutions, enriching the design. Finding balance in design is about combining your ideas with the needs of the audience. A strong designer skillfully merges external ideas with their own, maintaining uniqueness and enhancing value.
