Metal Thrashing Mad Lyrics
[Intro]
Woah-yeah!
[Verse 1]
Racing down the road
In a street machine of steel
Gears are jammed in full
I'm the madman at the wheel
[Chorus]
Got my foot pinned to the floor
You can feel the engine roar
I got thunder in my head
I'm metal thrashing mad, yeah!
Metal thrashing mad, yeah!
[Verse 2]
Driving like a maniac
I can't go any faster
I'm burning up the road
And headed for disaster
[Chorus]
Got my foot pinned to the floor
You can feel the engine roar
I got thunder in my head
I'm metal thrashing mad
Whoa-yeah!
Woah-yeah!
[Verse 1]
Racing down the road
In a street machine of steel
Gears are jammed in full
I'm the madman at the wheel
[Chorus]
Got my foot pinned to the floor
You can feel the engine roar
I got thunder in my head
I'm metal thrashing mad, yeah!
Metal thrashing mad, yeah!
[Verse 2]
Driving like a maniac
I can't go any faster
I'm burning up the road
And headed for disaster
[Chorus]
Got my foot pinned to the floor
You can feel the engine roar
I got thunder in my head
I'm metal thrashing mad
Whoa-yeah!

About
Genius Annotation
This song is about racing and the feeling you get from it.
The name ‘thrash metal’ actually originated from this song. When Malcolm Dome wrote about the album in the UK rock magazine Kerrang! in 1984, he used the term while referencing this song, which is what we still call the sub genre today.
I remember that was one of the first tunes that we wrote when I was in the band. And it was just short and sweet. It didn’t need to be four or five minutes. It was a short song and just pretty much got to the point. And that was like the start of the thrashier type of songs that we were venturing into.
