In an unboxing of the Dark&Wild album (English translation of unboxing here) by Suga, one of the members of BTS, he said:
The production of this track took a really long time to put together, because of our overall compiling of it.
The song’s structure was consistent, 16 or 12 lines of rap, then the chorus and then again 16 or 12 lines of rap, then the chorus, then it would go into the interlude and finish with the chorus. A kind of structure that’s very repetitive. In this song, after the rap line use very short sentences to rap, it makes a transition straight into the chorus – a structure like that.
So nowadays smart phones… No matter how you say it, everyone has a smart phone, right? Like the lyrics I wrote, even though communication has increased it seems to have become more silent. Communication has increased, but this kind of communication has brought upon even more silence. So this track was written starting from this issue.
