So when I was 16 I made this song where I said “imma go f**k ya motha”
And the vice principle didn’t like that very much and so, regular school day, he calls me into his office and basically says “I’ve been informed of a video you made and the lyrical content is not appropriate” and goes “You know what future employers are gonna think? What are you doing? What are you going to do with your life?” – so now feeling terrible since all I wanted was their approval of me, went into a band practicing room and cried.I called my dad about it and later that night he called the vice principal and basically defended my artistic freedom and expression.
Needless to say, he was both the principal and my father were right. Something about that experience struck a nerve with me that I could do what I wanted when I wanted – but it was my choice of wether to follow virtues or vices.
Through 8 years of lessons till now, I can say that really made me want to jump out of bed everyday and get to – life of virtues.
