B.B.K. Lyrics

[Verse 1]
So you see I've gotten this far
Please give me some place to rage
I'm not trying to go there
So take me away

[Verse 2]
Life sometimes pisses me off
It's never a good trip for me
Every time I reach for love
It's taken away

[Chorus]
Night, so I play
Give me a sign, this is day
Give me some patience, so I pray
It's time to die, is that what I want?

[Verse 3]
There's nothing wrong wanting to be loved
Is there something wrong with me?
For once in my life, I'd like to be really set free
Let me be me

[Chorus]
Night, so I play
Give me a sign, this is day
Give me some guidance, so I pray
It's time to die, is that what I want?
[Bridge]
(Take) Take me away
(Take) Taken away
(Take) Take me away
(Take) Taken away

[Chorus]
Night, so I play
Give me a sign, this is day
Give me some patience, so I pray
It's time to die, is that what I want?
Night, so I play
Give me a sign, this is day
Give me some guidance, so I pray
It's time to die, is that what I want?

Genius Annotation

“B.B.K.” is the fourth single of Follow the Leader. The acronym stands for “Bye Bye Kids” or “Big Black Kock”. It contains harsh guitar sounds somewhat reminiscent of industrial metal, and features scat vocals in the spots of the song where most traditional metal bands would have opted to implement a guitar solo.

“Big black cock! That’s what I call a Jack and Coke. Those little glasses they serve in Europe and everything. That’s what I named it, big black cock. And that’s another song about me dealing with the pressures of this album and how I, you know, I’m trying to kill myself, but you know? Do I really want to kill myself? Things I’m just questioning myself. Most of this is self-structured.” – Jonathan Davis
