I Should Be So Lucky Lyrics

[Verse 1]
In my imagination
There is no complication
I dream about you all the time
In my mind, a celebration
The sweetest of sensation
Thinking you could be mine

[Pre-Chorus]
In my imagination
There is no hesitation
We walk together hand in hand
I'm dreaming
You fell in love with me
Like I'm in love with you
But dreaming's all I do
If only they'd come true

[Chorus]
I should be so lucky
Lucky, lucky, lucky
I should be so lucky in love
I should be so lucky
Lucky, lucky, lucky
I should be so lucky in love
[Verse 2]
It's a crazy situation
You always keep me waiting
Because it's only make believe
And I would come a-running
To give you all my loving
If one day, you would notice me

[Pre-Chorus]
My heart is close to breaking
And I can't go on faking
The fantasy that you'll be mine
I'm dreaming
That you're in love with me
Like I'm in love with you
But dreaming's all I do
If only they'd come true

[Chorus]
I should be so lucky
Lucky, lucky, lucky
I should be so lucky in love
I should be so lucky
Lucky, lucky, lucky
I should be so lucky in love
[Bridge]
I should be so lucky (So lucky, so lucky)
I should be so lucky
I, I, (I, I)
I should be so lucky (So lucky, so lucky)
I should be so lucky
I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I

[Pre-Chorus]
In my imagination
There is no hesitation
We walk together hand in hand
I'm dreaming
You fell in love with me
Like I'm in love with you
But dreaming's all I do
If only they'd come true

[Chorus]
I should be so lucky
Lucky, lucky, lucky
I should be so lucky in love
I should be so lucky
Lucky, lucky, lucky
I should be so lucky in love
I should be so lucky
Lucky, lucky, lucky
I should be so lucky in love
I should be so lucky
Lucky, lucky, lucky
I should be so lucky in love
I should be so lucky
Lucky, lucky, lucky
I should be so lucky in love

So my manager at the time was, you know, it was first time I had a manager. I’d say “This is Terry and he’s looking after me”, I just didn’t know what was happening to me. but we flew to London. We were pretty much ignored for the best part of a week. Eventually Stocking Waterman, well, Pete, remembered that he’d agreed to have them write a song for me, so the story goes that they wrote it in 30 minutes or whatever. But as we know, Pete Waterman loves to exaggerate. Whatever it was I’m so thankful. I recorded the song and got on a plane and went back home and didn’t know what would become of that song.

What did Kylie Minogue say about "I Should Be So Lucky"?
Genius Answer

I’ll backtrack it to being kind of ten and idolizing Olivia Newton-John, I wanted to be Olivia Newton-John or the blonde from ABBA, so, loving music from then, then when I did a couple of TV things at eleven, sixteen, and what little bit money from Henderson Kids, I used to go and have singing lessons and make a demo tape with three songs. […] It was a lot of luck, for sure, or destiny, I don’t know which, but somehow, I’d been dreaming of it prior to that. […] The lyrics are really kind of sad, as well. […] The lyrics are terrible, but sad.
