This version was recorded at the Pine Street Theater in Portland, Oregon on February 9, 1990. It was originally released on a split 7-inch single alongside “Candy” by The Fluid, in January 1991.

Nirvana performed their cover of “Molly’s Lips” by The Vaselines on October 21, 1990, for BBC Radio 1 with John Peel; in which they also covered “Son of a Gun.” The Vaseline’s version of “Jesus Doesn’t Want me for a Sunbeam” would later be covered during Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged performance.
