A much-storied Acid House instrumental ‘track’, which allegedly came to fruition in 1985 when the members of Phuture experimented with a Roland TB-303 (a bass synthesizer developed to imitate bass guitars). Popularized by DJ Ron Hardy at the famed club the Music Box, and originally self-titled “In Your Mind”, the eventual success of the track, with clubgoers referring to it as “Ron Hardy’s Acid Track”, saw it eventually released as “Acid Tracks” on the Trax Records label in 1987.
