Typical of The Ramones' sick sense of humor, “Teenage Lobotomy” is sung from the POV of a guy whose exposure to the chemical DDT has led to him having a lobotomy—a controversial medical procedure where connections to the brain’s prefrontal cortex are cut or scraped away. Curiously, the narrator’s life seems to improved since the procedure. All the chicks dig him, and he’s hoping to earn his Ph.D. Seems unlikely he’ll get it, what with his brain all hacked up, but you’ve gotta like this guy’s PMA.
