About
This standalone single was released on March 17th 2022, almost a year after the release of the album Typhoons. The song and accompanying video was teased on Royal Bloods social media and was released as soon as it was completed. The Royal Blood twitter account posted “It’s as new to us as it is to you. Crank it x” on the day of release.
The song itself follows the theme of the alcoholism Kerr has suffered with for much of his time with the band which he has been open with in interviews. The album preceding this standalone single “Typhoons” is Kerr’s first album since going sober, and multiple songs refer to this (Limbo, Oblivion etc), with Honeybrains further exploring this change in Kerr’s life.
