“These Girls” is the fourth single of boyband Why Don’t We, supposedly featured on the band’s fourth EP Invitation, but was later revealed to be a non-album single.
In a behind-the-lyrics interview with MTV, the group revealed a few things about the track:
Yeah, it was just after our tour, we got back and we were like, oh, we’ve gotta write a song about traveling around, you know seeing our fans and stuff. – Marais

The band’s official Twitter account first showed a picture which looked as if it was a video shoot. Logan Paul went on to explain the picture as the band has a new single and music video on the way.
On August 28th, 2017, at 2PM PST, the band posted a tweet and a snap on their Instagram story, both stating “#WhyDontWeTheseGirls” teasing about the song’s existence (though Logan Paul had already leaked the title a week earlier) and had group messaged a few fans more details about the single.
An hour later, at 3PM PST, the band officially announced the news on their official Twitter and Instagram pages.
