Hairspray (Soundtrack to the Motion Picture)

Hairspray is the soundtrack for the 2007 movie adaptation of the Broadway stage musical of the same name, which in turn is based on the 1988 film.

The soundtrack includes nearly all songs from the Broadway musical, except “The Big Dollhouse”, “Good Morning Baltimore (Reprise)”. Two of the songs, “Cooties” and “Mama, I’m a Big Girl Now” are featured on the soundtrack, but not in the movie.

In addition, there are two new songs, “Ladies Choice”, written specifically for Zac Efron in the role of Link and “Come So Far (Got So Far To Go)” by Queen Latifah for the credits.
