Gregory Fernard Hutchison was born on 04.08.1967. Known as “Big Hutch” & “Cold 187um” (187 – means “kill”; um stands for: “untouchable murder”) is American rapper and producer from Pomona.
Hutchison is son of songwriter Richard Hutchison and the nephew of R&B singer Willie Hutch. When “Above The Law” signed to “Ruthless Records”, they’re released their debut album “Livin' Like Hustlers” (in 90’s).
187um also was producer for a lot of releases, more popular was his “replacement” of Dr. Dre when he left “Ruthless” label. On “Death Row” he was as replacement for Daz Dillinger, but in 2004 was jailed because of drug trafficking; after release, continued solo career. Hutchinson was still collaborating, producing & make new releases.

№1 – On 24.10.2015 “The Hip Hop Foundation” released article on their website titled: “5 Legendary Hip Hop Producers You Never Hear About” & was giving 187um the number one spot.
№2 – Also, on 2023 Hutchinson features as a playable character for “CoD: Modern Warfare 2”
№3 – Cold 187um (rather being in “Above The Law”) was formerly the inventor of G-Funk sound on «late 88' early 89'»).
