About GAWVI
Gabriel Azucena, better known as GAWVI (formerly known as G-Styles) is an American singer-songwriter and producer, mainly known for his work with Reach Records, Social Club Misfits and Rhema Soul.
He started his music production career in 2008, most notably working with the two rappers Lecrae and Trip Lee.
In 2016, GAWVI was signed to Reach Records as an artist, releasing his first EP Lost In Hue on July 26, and his sophomore EP Holding Hue, released on September 9.
On March 31, 2017, he released his first LP as an artist, titled We Belong.
18 months later, GAWVI dropped his second LP titled PANORAMA on October 19, 2018. There were five singles from the album all released within a few months before PANORAMA hit the market. One of his singles, “Fight For Me” won Best Rap/Hip-Hop Recorded Song of the Year from the 2019 GMA Dove Awards.
He released his sixth studio project HEATHEN on April 10th, 2020. He dropped two singles from the full-length album including: “Not Too Far” and “Climate Change.”
His seventh studio album, Noche Juvenil, which was also the artist’s first project with fully Spanish lyrics, followed up in March 2021.
At the end of January 2022, GAWVI was officially terminated by Reach Records after a series of allegations of sexual misconduct and unfaithfulness towards his ex-wife—which had traced back at least to the time of their divorce in 2020—came to light.
