Grade A Productions is the record label founded by Chicago rapper, Lil Bibby, and his brother George “G-Money” Dickinson. It is a subsidiary of Interscope Records.
Bibby and G-Money launched the label in 2017 after they discovered Chicago artist Juice WRLD and his July 2017 hit track “Lucid Dreams“ on SoundCloud, which officially released under Grade A Productions on May 23, 2018 alongside his debut studio album, Goodbye & Good Riddance.
During an interview with XXL on September 25, 2019, Bibby discussed his transition from a rapper to a label head:
I really don’t know. I like to make people a lot of money. I got enough knowledge and I’ve studied this rap stuff and I got enough relationships to help an artist, help his family [and] I get a kick out of it ’cause I see how the label does it and my situation. I feel like just helping people.
Grade A Productions has welcomed many diverse and talented artists, such as The Kid LAROI, Clever, and Seezyn.
