About William Elliott Whitmore

William Elliott Whitmore is an American blues, country, folk singer and musician from rural Iowa, USA. Performing since 1999, he released his first full-length album, Hymns For The Hopeless in 2003 and has continued to release regular albums since.

In 2010, Whitmore covered the traditional folk song Bury Me Not On The Lone Prairie for the acclaimed video game Red Dead Redemption, a baritone a capella track that plays at a pivotal moment near the end of the game.
