About us
The African Young Leaders Foundation (AYLF) is an international, non-profit, and non- governmental organization established by esteemed young individuals who have held several leadership positions internationally and with the utmost desire of training the next generation of African Leaders through their experiences and global networking. The AYLF also seeks to engage in humanitarianism by securing scholarships and educational funds to the brilliant but needy individuals who wish to further their education or training nationally or abroad all veered towards giving back to society. Our goal is to create generational change. We look at all the tough issues and we find the common threads then we rally support with the right partners to create meaningful change for adults in our community, the children in their care, and future generations to come. We provide valuable opportunities for the youth in Africa by inculcation in them, the spirit of the African values and principles to succeed and to prepare to lead their communities in the future.

2024 in a Glance: Empowering Change As we reflect on our accomplishments in 2024, one of our most impactful commitments to society and Africa stands out: 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence In partnership with Students for Liberty and LOLA, our AYLF Zimbabwe team spearheaded a powerful campaign to raise awareness, ignite conversations, and demand action against gender-based violence. This initiative resonated well with our AYLF Teenage Pregnancy Prevention and Support Program we are currently conducting in selected 6 African countries. Guided by the rallying cry "Silence is not an option: Speak Out Against GBV," we: - Amplified survivors' voices - Educated communities - Advocated for change Together, we proved that collective action can lead to lasting impact. As we look to the future, we remain committed to empowering youth and driving positive change. Tanaka Mugova #AYLF #GBV #16DaysOfActivism #EmpoweringChange #YouthLed #AfricaRising

As the year draws to a close, many of us find ourselves reflecting on the challenges we have faced, the battles we have fought, and the dreams we still hold close. What if the struggles of this year could become the foundation for a stronger, brighter tomorrow? This Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 6 PM GMT, join us for a special end-of-year Dialogue Series as we welcome Wise Chibulu, a renowned mental health advocate and author of Drugs and Dreams. Wise’s life was once engulfed by addiction and suicidal thoughts. which is a reality many can relate to but few openly discuss. Through determination, resilience, and a commitment to change, he turned his pain into purpose and now using his experience to empower countless individuals to rise above their struggles. In this session, Wise will share his deeply personal story of transformation, the lessons he learned along the way, and how he found strength in his imperfections. You can join the conversation live via YouTube at https://lnkd.in/eYtM-JHa. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the notification bell to stay updated on all our live events.

On the 14th of December 2024, the African Young Leaders Foundation - KENYA in collaboration with the FALAS women league and the Mpesa foundation academy alumni had the pleasure to organize and visit Acts of Hope Children’s Home, Dargorett in Nairobi. The visit was filled with joy as we shared moments with the children. With members and officials of AYLF-KENYA giving counsel and health reproductive education to the girls as the visit was themed EndPeriodPoverty which we gave the girls sanitary towels. Boys were taken through some men talk by our male reps. We also gave some stationery to the children to help boost their preparation to back school in January. The day was filled with warmth as we enjoyed games, music and dances as we celebrate this Christmas festive season. The national president, vice president, members of the national committee and members of the AYLF-KENYA were awesome in making this happen.
