A little over one year ago, we embarked on a mission to make healthcare more accessible for Ghanaians.   Through our partnership with Diagnostic Centre Ltd., we launched an initiative to provide free health screenings—and it has since become a cornerstone of our commitment to better health outcomes.   Fast forward to today, and we’re proud to have completed over 50 free screening events, bringing vital health checks directly to our communities.   This month, as we mark #WorldDiabetesDay, we’re back at it—offering 3 days of free blood glucose, blood pressure, and haemoglobin screenings at the AnC Mall, East Legon from 10am to 4pm, through to Sunday, November 24th.   Whether you’re shopping or just passing through, take a moment to prioritize your health. Our team is ready and excited to serve you.   Together, we’re making strides toward a healthier future for all.   #WorldDiabetesDay #Healthcare #Wellness #Ghana #CommunityImpact #Africa #FreeScreening #HbTesting

In-pharmacy blood sugar testing is transforming #diabetes care, making it more accessible and convenient for patients to monitor their health. With regular, on-the-spot checks, pharmacies play a key role in the early detection of diabetes and support effective management for those already diagnosed.   The quality of point-of-care (POC) devices used in these tests is essential. High-quality devices provide accurate, reliable readings—critical for guiding treatment decisions. Inaccurate or inconsistent results can lead to improper management and put patients’ health at risk.   As a brand committed to promoting health equity, we ensure our solutions are not only accessible but also of the highest quality, improving the lives they touch.   By investing in top-tier testing Point-of-Care devices, #besaPharma empowers pharmacies, who empower patients with the data they need to make informed choices and stay on top of their health.   When accuracy meets accessibility, diabetes care becomes more proactive, effective, and patient-centered. #health #wellness #diabetescare #worlddiabetesday #rapidtesting #Ghana #Africa #Startups #Saas

Empowering Health Through Accessible Anaemia Testing with Sejoy HB   At besaCare, we’re dedicated to improving patient care by making essential diagnostic tools more accessible. Anaemia remains a significant health concern, particularly across low-resource settings, where undiagnosed anaemia can lead to severe health complications, impacting maternal health, child development, and overall quality of life.   The Sejoy Biomedical HB analyser provides a fast, affordable, and reliable way to measure haemoglobin levels, enabling early detection and ongoing monitoring of anaemia. By offering accurate, point-of-care testing, we empower healthcare providers to make timely, informed decisions that improve patient outcomes.   Accessible haemoglobin testing is critical to reducing the prevalence of anaemia, which affects nearly 40% of women and children globally, with even higher rates in sub-Saharan Africa.   Our #besaPharma Rapid Test Software enhances Hb testing by streamlining the analysis and reporting process. This system not only provides quick, accurate results but also builds valuable data insights, helping healthcare providers deliver more personalised and effective care.   At besaCare, we’re driven by a mission to promote health equity. By offering accessible solutions for underserved communities, we aim to close the gap in anaemia diagnosis and ensure that every individual has the chance to live a healthier life. #healthcare #anaemia #maternalhealth #equity #Ghana #Africa #startups #POCdevice #pregnancy #saas

Earlier this week, we marked #WorldStrokeDay, a reminder of the urgent need for awareness and prevention of stroke. With today’s lifestyle pressures and the prevalence of sedentary habits, we must come together to be #GreaterThan stroke. Prevention starts with early detection, and haemoglobin levels play a vital role in managing stroke risk. Studies show an inverse relationship between haemoglobin levels and stroke recurrence or other vascular events. Offering accessible haemoglobin testing at pharmacies can significantly help identify at-risk individuals early, initiating timely interventions. As a primary touchpoint for many, pharmacies are uniquely positioned for convenient haemoglobin testing, enabling pharmacists to: 🔎 Identify Risks Early: Routine haemoglobin checks help pharmacists spot low levels and guide patients toward further evaluation. 💹 Provide Accessible Monitoring: Pharmacies make ongoing haemoglobin monitoring easier for at-risk patients, supporting consistent health tracking. 🤼 Support Community-Level Interventions: Frequent interactions allow pharmacists to reinforce health management and lifestyle adjustments promoting vascular health. With #besaPharma, pharmacies can integrate haemoglobin testing seamlessly. Equipped with quality POC devices like the FDA-approved Sejoy Hb 201 Testing System and our intuitive software, besaPharma makes it easy for pharmacists to analyse, interpret, and share results, empowering both pharmacists and patients to take proactive steps in health management. besaPharma is proud to enable haemoglobin monitoring at the pharmacy level, advancing stroke prevention with accessible, proactive care for those who need it most. #healthcare #wellness #strokeprevention #startups #healthtech #Ghana #Africa #rapidtest

As we observe #WorldMentalHealthDay, it is imperative that we reflect on the importance of mental well-being, not only on an individual level but also in the workplace. This year’s theme, “It’s Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace,” serves as a critical reminder of the responsibility we share as employers, leaders, and colleagues to create environments that foster mental wellness. In today's fast-paced and demanding work environments, stress, anxiety, and burnout have become common experiences. Yet, while these challenges persist, so too does the opportunity to address them proactively. At besaCare, we are committed to making mental health a priority. We believe that a mentally healthy workplace is key to productivity, creativity, and job satisfaction. This is not just a matter of supporting our teams during difficult times, but of cultivating a culture that values open communication, flexibility, and support every day. This World Mental Health Day, we asked our staff to share How They Deal With Stress In The Workplace, to help us raise awareness and to also take action. Over the next few posts, we will share their responses, to help anyone dealing with stress see what our team does! Together, we can build a workplace where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. It is not just time—it is our responsibility. #MentalHelath #startups #workplace #ghana #healthcare #stressmanagement #Wellness
