CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS IN HEALTH IN GHANA AND FP 2030 AGENDA It has been an exciting time this year-2024 for #CentreforHealthDevelopmentandResearch (#CEHDAR: www.cehdar.org) to have collaborated with #USAID/MOMENTUM and the #FamilyHealthDivision of the #GhanaHealthService to conduct a situational analysis of #CivilSocietyOrganisations (#CSOs) in Health working on the #FP2030Agenda and to use the data generated to inform strategic actions for enhancing their contributions to FP 2030 achievements. Interacting with about 18 CSOs, CEHDAR was able through qualitative approaches among other actions to: § Provide a situational analysis through the documentation of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of CSOs working in FP/RMNCAH in Ghana and based on the findings of the situational analysis and literature review: § Describe strategic frameworks and actions to guide CSOs in Ghana around the FP 2030 agenda and how they can augment their contributions to its achievements through diverse strategic actions with key Governmental/public and private stakeholders. We are optimistic that this document will create avenues for enhancing FP2030 achievements in #Ghana. Thanks to these colleagues for their contributions in the development process. #Dr. Claudette Diogo GHS #Dr. Pearl Nanka Bruce USAID MOMENTUM #Alishea Galvin USAID MOMENTUM #Anne Pfitzer USAID MOMENTUM #Lindsey Miller USAID MOMENTUM #Cupid Adumbireh USAID MOMENTUM #Eugenia Mensah USAID MOMENTUM #Elizabeth Acheampong USAID MOMENTUM #Dr. Jemima Dennis-Antwi CEHDAR # Dr. Phyllis Abrah CEHDAR # Adwoa Achiaa Kpikpitse CEHDAR It was also informative to have joined the USAID MOMEMNTUM Country and Global Leadership Final Dissemination and Learning Event held on August 28, 2024 at Alisa Hotels-Accra. My biggest professional reward was seeing and listening to the impactful work that midwives and nurses did to contribute to project success. #Midwives and #Nurses are a critical health workforce that the health sector needs to continually appreciate build capacity and support.
