In recent years, Africa's media landscape has experienced significant transformation, fueled by technological advancements, greater access to information, and the rapid growth of social media. This progress presents both opportunities and challenges. While the media serve as a vital watchdog and agenda-setter, they also have the potential to undermine peace and security, particularly during elections. Princess Sekyere Bih wrote an article on the role of media in Africa’s democracy and security, recently featured in the Business & Financial Times. The article explores how the media can strengthen democracy and threaten national security. As Ghana goes to the polls on Saturday, December 7th, it is KCC's hope that the media will recognize the power of its narratives. Covering elections and post-election activities can either escalate tensions or foster peace. May the Ghanaian prioritize responsible reporting to contribute to a peaceful democratic process. “So, this thing is survivable” said Benita Ogbonna, who will soon mark seven years as a breast cancer survivor. For the eighth year, Delta Air Lines partnered with Breast Care International for the "Walk for the Cure" in #Ghana, to raise awareness and highlight the importance of early detection. Delta also joined BCI's fundraising event in #Accra and supported the groundbreaking ceremony for the King of Ashanti, Osei Tutu II, Cancer Centre of Excellence, a major milestone in the advancement of healthcare in Ghana. The project has collaborations with leading institutions, including John Hopkins University and Harvard University.
