The Akotobinsin Methodist Primary School in Elmina recently experienced a transformation that brought immense relief to students and staff alike. For years, the Class 5 classroom endured persistent leaks during rainy weather due to ripped and perforated aluminum roofing sheets. The old, damaged roofing slates have been completely removed, and all weak wooden beams have been replaced with stronger new stronger ones. We’re excited to announce that the first new roofing slate has been installed! This marks a heroic step toward creating a safe and inspiring learning environment for the students. Day one of the Eguafo M/A Basic School restoration has kicked off with the removal of the old roofing sheets and the replacement of weak wooden beams. We are excited to announce that work has officially begun on the restoration of the Junior High School (JHS) block at Eguafo M/A Basic School. With the generous support of our partners, RazorSpire, we’ve made the first crucial step: purchasing the wooden beams needed for the roofing. This marks the beginning of a transformative journey for the 431 students and the three communities that depend on this school. We are grateful for the community’s ongoing involvement, as local families continue to provide accommodation for the artisans working on-site.
