We extend our heartfelt thanks to the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a remarkable and insightful Platinum Member CEOs Breakfast meeting last week. The opportunity to engage further with Her Excellency Harriet Thompson, Dr. Ernest Addison, and esteemed business leaders on key economic issues was truly invaluable. We commend UKGCC for creating this impactful platform, fostering collaboration between the private sector and key stakeholders. Such initiatives are vital for addressing challenges and unlocking new opportunities for businesses operating in Ghana. We look forward to continued engagement and partnership as we collectively strive to create a sustainable and prosperous future for the Ghanaian business community. #ukgcc #breakfastmeeting #collaboration #economicgrowth
Earlier today, together with Her Excellency, the British High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Thompson, we hosted our sixth and final Platinum Member CEOs Breakfast meeting for 2024. In attendance was our special guest, Dr. Ernest Addison, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, who engaged our CEOs on pressing issues such as the high cost of capital for businesses, cedi depreciation, exchange rates, and the availability of forex- factors which significantly impact business operations. The discussions also highlighted the measures the Bank of Ghana is undertaking to resolve these challenges. Overall, the meeting provided a platform to establish synergies and enhance collaboration between the Bank of Ghana, UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and the British High Commission. Our CEOs gained a deeper appreciation of Ghana’s economic landscape and monetary policy which, we hope, will aid them as they take strategic business decisions and steer them to success. It was our pleasure to host Dr. Ernest Addison, as well as our platinum members, as we continue to work to advocate for our member businesses and the Ghana business community at large. As the leading private sector organisation supporting UK-Ghana businesses, the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce provides direct access to key stakeholders in various sectors crucial to your business's success. Write to us at info@ukgcc.com.gh to join the UKGCC today. #ukgcc #breakfastmeeting #BritishHighCommission
