This event brought together brilliant minds passionate about driving change and progress in their communities. Mrs. Sophia Dauda, a Lecturer and Mentor was present to guide the innovators through key stages of the innovation process, including ideation, feasibility assessment, and market access catering for innovators at various stages of product development. Through insightful discussions, knowledge-sharing, innovators had the chance to exchange ideas, learn from one another’s experiences, and explore new ways to tackle challenges in innovation. As part of the recruitment process for innovators, an information session was held across various communities in the Bono Region, including Dumasua, Fiapre, Berekum, and Wamfie. The program showcased numerous innovations from passionate women eager to learn and adapt to change. Participants were introduced to the various opportunities available to them, including access to a fully-equipped Makerspace, which will be hosted by WAN-Hive Ghana to support innovators in the Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East Regions, mentorship with experts, and potential funding opportunities. The day began with a warm welcome address from our CEO Janat Issifu, setting an enthusiastic tone for the event. We kicked off with dynamic pitches from our innovators, setting the stage for an inspiring experience. Attendees gained valuable insights into the startup development journey through a comprehensive presentation on the Stage Gating Program, followed by learning sessions led by expert trainers.
