  • 🎥 💉From Midwifery Student to Media Leader: Joana Adodoadjie’s Inspiring Journey Joana Adodoadjie is a Midwifery student at the University of Ghana with a growing passion for media. Beyond her academic pursuits, she leads the media department at the Arise Center for Holistic Health, Wellness & Nutrition(ARCH) —a role that reflects her commitment to personal growth and versatility. Her journey into media began with a bold decision to step beyond her comfort zone during the 2022 Leadership Diary Training Program (LDTP). Initially, she planned to join the health team due to her aspirations in the medical field. However, a desire to try something new led her to the Arise Multimedia Agency, where she was introduced to video editing—a skill that opened the door to a world she once believed was reserved for outgoing personalities. Despite being an introvert and having no prior media experience, Joana embraced the challenge, mastering event recap videos, documentaries, and eventually venturing into other areas like photography and graphic design. With each new skill, her confidence grew, transforming her from a curious beginner into a dedicated media practitioner. Today, while pursuing a Midwifery degree at the University of Ghana, Joana leads the media department at the Arise Centre for Holistic Health, Wellness, and Nutrition. Her journey has evolved from learning basic editing to reporting for Orange News (a weekly broadcast of Orange TV) and doing voice-overs—an achievement she never imagined. 🎤📸 Balancing her demanding academic work with media responsibilities hasn’t been easy, but her commitment to growth keeps her moving forward. Joana’s story is one of the many young people who, through our training programs, have seized moments to challenge themselves to move out of their comfort zones to do great things. From a hesitant LDTP participant to a media leader, she continues to break boundaries, proving that her skills in media are as valuable as her passion for midwifery. #LDTPImpact #InspiringJourneys #YouthInLeadership #MediaAndBeyond #AriseAndLead #PersonalGrowth #SteppingOut #LeadershipTransformation

  • 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐓𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 ❤️ Meet Emmanuella Obeng-Kyeremateng Yeboah, one of our inspiring participants from the Leadership Diary Training Program (LDTP2024)! 🙌 During her community service with Team Compassion, Emmanuella and her team, discovered an unexpected haven - the Shelter for Abused Children in Labone, where she and her team made a profound impact on young lives. 🎉 Her journey wasn't just about fulfilling service hours; it became a transformative experience that opened her eyes to the resilience of children facing unimaginable challenges. From teaching 18-year-old Janice (not her real name) to write her name for the first time to witnessing the joy of a missing child's reunion with their family, every moment shaped her understanding of compassion and privilege. Reflecting on her experience, Emmanuella shared: 'Working at the shelter has made me grateful for little things. Being safe, having a roof over my head, having a loving family, being able to go to school, having clothes, food, water... I realized that what we consider the circle of life isn't even available for some people.' 💡 Together with Team Compassion, she taught children basic skills like alphabets, numbers, and shapes, navigating language barriers and special needs with dedication. Their service culminated in donating essential items to the shelter, but the real impact was in the connections formed and lessons learned. Emmanuella's story is a reflection of the transformative power of community service. Through her experience, she not only contributed to these children's lives but also discovered important insights about child safety education and the need for greater awareness of such shelters in Ghana. 🌟 Join us in celebrating Emmanuella's selflessness and commitment to giving back! Her full story offers a moving glimpse into the lives of Ghana's vulnerable children and the power of young leaders to make a difference. 🎉 Read Emmanuella's complete account here: https://lnkd.in/dmVMNZMZ #LeadershipDiary #CommunityService #GivingBack #EmpoweringYouth #LDTP2024"
