🌟ADAMANT's hardware on stage!!!🌟 What a feeling seeing our hardware being integrated and sitting on #ARIEL spacecraft ready for testing! 🛰️ We are incredibly proud to deliver the Payload Module Structural Model (PLM SM) and its MGSE; a true testament to the passion and persistence of the Adamant Composites' team. From concept and design to manufacturing, assembly, and testing to this exciting moment — everyone has worked tirelessly to bring this project to life, navigating all challenges. The PLM SM is a mechanical representative of ARIEL Telescope reflecting its mass, CoG, and dynamic behavior. Fully designed and manufactured in #Greece, this local content consolidates the capacity building that has been achieved. A huge thank you to Airbus Defence and Space and European Space Agency - ESA ARIEL teams for entrusting us with this challenging hardware development and for their collaboration, alongside ALMA Sistemi Srl - Engineering for Space; we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together. 🚀 Onwards and upwards! 💪 #Teamwork #Engineering #Space
Start of the production phase for the structural model of the Ariel spacecraft!🛰️ The European Space Agency - ESA exoplanet mission Ariel has reached an exciting new milestone! Assembled in our Airbus facilities, it is composed of two parts: ➡️ a simplified model of the payload module ➡️ a structural model of the platform It will be used to validate the spacecraft’s mechanical design and the sensitive payload-to-spacecraft interface. Although this specific model will never be sent to space, it will still have to go through a thorough mechanical test campaign including vibrations, acoustic test and, separation and shock test with the Ariane 6 launch adapter. Set for launch in 2029, Ariel will analyse atmospheres of more than 1000 exoplanets and complement missions CHEOPS, Gaia and Webb Space telescope. APCO Technologies SA Adamant Composites BeyondGravity
