This 12-month program aims to equip young women with essential soft skills tailored to meet market demands, focusing on key industries for Saudi Arabia’s growth. The initiative follows the success of Phase 1, which helped 25 women secure employment. The new phase aims to train and place 20 women in entry-level positions, contributing to the country’s Vision 2030 goals of increasing female workforce participation and reducing unemployment. The program emphasizes education, job creation, and community development, empowering young women to thrive professionally and drive Saudi Arabia's economic transformation. CCC and EFE are committed to providing capacity-building opportunities, with EFE having already connected over 19,000 youth, including 55% women, to employment. This collaboration will help Saudi women gain the skills necessary to succeed in growing sectors and contribute to the Kingdom’s ongoing development.

As we approach #COP29, one of the most critical milestones for climate action this year, we at Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) are proud to join the World Economic Forum’s Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders. Alongside over 110 CEOs, we have signed an open letter urging global public and private sector leaders to unite at COP29. There is an urgent need for governments and businesses to work together to turn the COP28 pledges – tripling renewable energy, doubling energy efficiency, and transitioning away from fossil fuels. Now, ahead of COP29, the Alliance is publishing an open letter to world leaders with specific calls to action to enable accelerated emissions reductions in line with the Paris Agreement and deliver on the COP28 pledges. We call on public and private sector leaders to join us on this journey of collaborative climate action. The Successful Conclusion of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Employability Preparedness Program: The Youth Entrepreneurship and Employability Preparedness Program, supported by CCC and facilitated by INJAZ Qatar, has successfully concluded. The program, which involved seven volunteers from INJAZ Al-Arab and CCC, reached 280 junior high school students across Doha and Lusail. It focused on preparing students for high-growth careers through interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and collaborative projects. The curriculum featured interactive workshops and educational activities designed to prepare students for high-growth career fields, enhance critical thinking, and develop essential soft skills, including entrepreneurship and communication. Students participated in hands-on activities, real-time problem-solving exercises, and collaborative projects, which fostered active learning and engagement. Evaluations showed a 20% increase in test scores and a 35% rise in discussion participation. Most students strongly understood economic concepts, entrepreneurship, and global economic connections. The program was highly praised by students and volunteers alike, with 96% of students expressing satisfaction and reporting increased confidence and interest in the subjects. As exemplified by this program, CCC's CSR efforts underscore its commitment to advancing human, social, and economic development in its operating communities, contributing to broader economic, social, and environmental sustainability.

Research Development Fellowship Support - Africa: CCC has recently signed an agreement with the African Research Excellence Fund (AREF) to support a one-year Research Development Fellowship (RDF) through AREF’s bespoke Fellowship Awards Programme. The Research Development Fellowships (RDFs) aim to develop emerging early-career African scientists working on important challenges for human health, growing their skills, experience, confidence, and research outputs/innovations. The fellowships consist of a three to nine-month placement at a leading research institution in Europe or Africa, with additional support at the home institution before and after the placement. The RDF Programme enables talented early-career researchers to increase their research capability by: • acquiring advanced research skills • developing and testing their own compelling research questions • developing highly effective academic mentoring relationships • growing their potential research collaborations • raising their profile through international networking The fellowship will cover the full cost of an RDF at a research institution, coaching and mentorship, and participation in a grant writing workshop. CCC’s continuous support of AREF’s mission and programmes is aligned with one of its main CSR priorities which is education and hopes to support another post-doctoral research fellow in the coming year.
