Educational visit from NTUA students to Corinth Pipeworks We were happy to welcome the 3rd-semester students from the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering/NTUA on 12/12/2024, as part of their course 'Manufacturing Processes, Corrosion & Protection of Metallic Materials. During their visit, students had the opportunity to learn about Corinth Pipeworks' production processes for offshore applications and explore our state-of-the-art production lines and Quality Control facilities, guided by our dedicated engineering team. Successful Completion of Porthos CO2 Offshore CCS Pipeline Project! We have successfully completed the production of offshore pipelines for an innovative carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiative. This marks the conclusion of a key production phase, with the next step being the transportation of the pipelines to The Netherlands. All anti-corrosion coating along with concrete weight coating (CWC) was also completed in our Thisvi plant in Greece, in partnership with Wasco. These pipelines will transport captured and compressed CO2 from the Porthos compressor station at Maasvlakte to the P18-A platform in the North Sea. The platform is being repurposed and upgraded for CO2 injection to support this pioneering sustainability effort. We look forward to the safe transport of the pipelines and the start of offshore installation in 2025. Together, we are addressing one of the most critical challenges of the energy transition—safe and efficient hydrogen transportation through high-pressure offshore pipelines. Through extensive testing and advanced engineering, we are exploring the hydrogen readiness of carbon steel linepipes (X70) under extreme operating conditions, reinforcing our commitment to driving sustainable energy solutions. Corinth Pipeworks Secures Key Offshore Contracts in the North Sea We announce that we have been awarded two major offshore contracts in the North Sea by Subsea7, further solidifying our role as a trusted partner for steel pipe solutions in the region. ·        Bestla Project – Norwegian Continental Shelf Operated by OKEA ASA, our company will supply 12.5 km of 14-inch High-Frequency Welded (HFW) steel pipes for a subsea tie-back development to the Brage platform. ·         Bittern Project – UK Central North Sea We will manufacture and deliver 22 km of HFW steel pipes for a 12-inch water injection pipeline, supporting reservoir pressure maintenance for the Bittern field. These projects reinforce our strong presence in the North Sea and underscore our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that meet the highest standards of the offshore industry.
