Κατά τη διάρκεια των εργασιών, μεταξύ άλλων, εξελέγη Πρόεδρος του Σώματος για το 2026 η Καθηγ. Sandra Maximiano (ANACOM - Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações), συμφωνήθηκε το Πρόγραμμα Εργασιών για το 2025, συζητήθηκαν οι ρυθμιστικές προκλήσεις των επόμενων χρόνων και δρομολογήθηκε η εκπόνηση νέας Μεσοπρόθεσμης Στρατηγικής για το 2026-28. #postalservices
Press release European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) 27th Plenary Meeting The European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) held its second Plenary Meeting of 2024, under the chairmanship of Mr. Joakim Levin, Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) on behalf of Mr. Dan Sjoblom Sjöblom, Director-General of PTS, supported by the Vice-Chair Mr. Petros Galides, Deputy Office of the Commissioner of Communications of Cyprus (OCECPR), and the Vice-Chair Dr. Spyros Pantelis, Vice President of the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT). The Plenary agreed on the ERGP Work Programme for 2025 [ERGP PL II (24) 5], which sets out the ERGP’s tasks for the next year in line with the strategic pillars of the ERGP Medium-Term Strategy (MTS) 2023-2025. In 2025, the ERGP will focus its activities on the outline of the future regulatory framework, on the issue of the financing of the universal service, on force majeure cases, on contingency, resilience and security in the postal sector and postal core indicators as well as postal price indicators, and on quality of service, consumer protection and complaints handling as well as on quality-of-service standards for domestic and cross-border mail. The ERGP will also prepare a new Mid Term Strategy for the years 2026-2028 and a task force will be formed for this task. On this occasion, the ERGP has elected unanimously Professor Sandra Maximiano, Chair of the Board of the Portuguese Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM - Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações), as ERGP Chair for 2026. Professor Maximiano said: “As ERGP Chair I will be committed to strengthening cooperation with all stakeholders, focusing on the review of the postal regulatory framework, to ensure a sustainable and modern postal service with a quality that meets all users’ needs and to promote and to reinforce the resilience of the postal infrastructure.“ Prior to the Plenary Meeting, on 27 November, the ERGP held an internal workshop to discuss key topics regarding the future regulatory framework. The discussion feeds into the ERGP Report on the outline of the future postal regulatory framework. The Plenary took note of the Prospective study on the future of the postal sector that was published on 21 November and ERGP agrees with the overall conclusion of the study that a review of the regulatory framework is warranted, ERGP will provide a more in-depth analysis of the study in due course. The ERGP confirmed its engagement to support the Commission in this work in 2025. The Plenary approved the following documents: ERGP Work Programme 2025, ERGP Report on the needs of postal services for vulnerable users, ERGP Report on postal core indicators, ERGP Report on quality of service, consumer protection and consumer handling, ERGP Report the regulation of end-user prices, ERGP Report on exploring the possibilities to support environmental sustainability within the postal regulatory framework
