Yesterday, Ambassador Stefan Estermann received at his residence the participants at the “International Barn Owl Conference 2025”organised by TYTO. Specialists from 13 countries came to Greece by a shared dedication to Barn owl research, in order to highlight the Barn owl's vital role in sustainable agriculture and celebrate the collective efforts to enhance natural ecosystems while addressing global agricultural challenges. Among the speakers were the distinguished Swiss scientists Prof. Christine Mohr and Prof. Alexandre Roulin from the Université de Lausanne. #sustainability

Switzerland has been elected to chair the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in 2026. This marks Switzerland’s third chairpersonship, following leadership roles in 1996 and 2014. Starting 1 January 2025, Switzerland will join the OSCE troika alongside Malta and Finland.
