𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: ✅ Advanced Data Scheduling: RodinHD introduces a novel data scheduling strategy called task replay, which mitigates catastrophic forgetting by ensuring the model periodically revisits previous avatars. This approach maintains high detail fidelity across different avatars. ✅ Weight Consolidation Regularization: This technique preserves the decoder's ability to render sharp details by preventing critical weights from deviating far from their consolidated values, ensuring knowledge retention from previous training data. ✅ Enhanced Portrait Guidance: The model computes a finer-grained hierarchical representation to capture rich 2D texture cues from the portrait image. These cues are injected into the 3D diffusion model at multiple layers via cross-attention, significantly improving the coherence and detail of generated avatars. ✅ Optimized Noise Schedule: By training on 46K avatars with a noise schedule optimized for triplanes, RodinHD can generate 3D avatars with better details than previous methods, generalizing effectively to in-the-wild portrait input.
